Examines all documents and maps corresponding to the area near the route of the line in order to identify all existing accesses that may cross or approach to it and subsequently carry out a preliminary routing of the new accesses to be constructed Prepare drawings and specifications, reports and technical specifications. Determines project specifications by studying project design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, preparing cost estimates. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems. Review project plans and proposals, then works with management to develop project objectives. Identifies project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project. Calculates time frames and sequences the stages of the project. Reviews and evaluates daily accomplishments and follow-up progress of work to ensure efficient flow of work. Prepares and distributes a description and timeline of the project. Presents procedures, rules and regulations to those involved in the project; maintains a safe, clean and productive environment through enforcing procedures. Meets with client departments to discuss the proposed maintenance schedule, identify issues, and provide information regarding the implementation of the contract work projects. Conducting inspection for preparing quotation. Discuss with the KAUST building inspector for joint inspection regarding work related problems for immediate work solution. Keeps client departments informed on status of contract work projects. Participates in the annual condition assessment of buildings to identify deficiencies and needed maintenance. Meets with client departments to identify the maintenance and renovation projects that need to be budgeted. A preventive maintenance program will have been effectively initiated and implemented. Follow-up progress of jobs to ensure efficient flow of work. Prepare and follow-up material request papers to the central store department. Prepares method of statement and risk assessment for all daily activities. Ensure that all workers are following safety, rules and procedures. Estimate clients work request for cost and duration. Perform daily inspection necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the approved drawings and Project specifications. Review & Coordinate to all suppliers & subcontractors for all documents to be submitted to the 3rd party consultant as per Estidama Requirement. Review and submit documents to the consultant for submittals such as Prequalifications, Materials, Technical, Method Statement’s, ITP’s, Material Samples as per Project Specification, Approved Drawings and Vendor List. Carry-out Project requirements at site such as Work Inspection Request(WIR), Material Inspection Request(MIR), Non-Conformance Report(NCR), Closure of Non-Conformance Reports, Site Observation Report, Request for Information(RFI), Inspection Test
Plan(ITP), Method Statement(MS), Snagging, Test Reports, Equipment Calibration, Operator Certificates and so forth. Preparing Project Closed-Out Documents such as Operation and Manual(O&M), Warranties, , Asset Registration and making project logs for monitoring. Implementing Internal NCR to Suppliers and Subcontractors for non compliance of the Project Specification and the Approved Drawings. Develop method of statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environment analysis and inspection test plan and checklist based on specification of the project. Work Relationship Coordinate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project engineer and Site engineer regarding work related problems, changes and revision of the drawings. Discuss with the Project Manager, Construction Manager regarding QA/QC activities such as NCR’s, WIR, Site Instruction, RFI’s, material testing results and any problems encountered. Coordinate closely with the consultant for the inspection and work approval.
Field Engineer Responsible for the construction of yards, roads, buildings, and related facilities in the main plant and wharf area and coordinates on-going repair works in all facilities of different areas.
