Promoted internally to lead the HSQE strategy with a clear plan to improve the business operationally through quality of service delivery and reducing injuries through active risk management. I liaised with the board bi-monthly reporting key performance metrics. Utilised relationship at C level to highlight risks and opportunities in the business and then providing the direction and strategies to achieve desired outcomes using Key Performance Indicators as the guiding measure on the continual improvement journey internationally.

Working with key stakeholders, country management and project teams providing effective leadership and collaboration fostering a culture for continual safety improvement. Spearheaded the HSQE function from a compliance driven entity forming business assurance partnerships to reduce business risks whilst forging cross-functional relationships with all departments leading to increased consistency across key operational functions.

OVERVIEW:

 Restructured HSQE function as a cost saving exercise with the aim of enhancing regional skills in project delivery requirements and saving over £175, 000 annually.
 Developed and implemented a strategy for routinely auditing all Business units to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and corporate safety and health standards; formulating consistency standards and educating management during the process.
 Retention of various international ISO certificates and achieving ISO 45001 internationally across 14 businesses and attaining annual savings $30K+ within 2-year timespan.
 Changed the incident investigation methodology globally to achieve a consistent approach and improved data gathering enabling strategies resulting in >30% reduction incident severity, >40% reduction across all injury categories and >25% reduction in near misses.
 Led workshop with Global Engineering in the development and implementation of risk mitigation protocols through procedural critical hold points aligned to lessons learnt (Alerts, Bulletins), reducing risk exposure and increasing operational delivery.
 Oversaw the modernisation of the global training framework in developing the Supervisor Development Program focusing on key areas of accountability, risk management capability and client facing skills with subsequent reduction in operational interruptions and increased operational effectiveness.
