I am currently the Subject Leader for Media and Children's Play, Learning and Development in the BTEC External Assessment Team. I am responsible for all exams taken as part of these qualifications and ensuring learner's results are correct and delivered on time. This role requires significant co-ordination between internal and external stakeholders.

After University I became a Subject Specialist Team Leader in the Teaching Services team at Pearson (Edexcel) . I answered languages queries from teachers both over the phone and by email. I was quickly promoted to managing a team of four other subject specialists and I was also been involved in projects to improve the customer experience on the Edexcel website.

I worked at WARC for a month during my University summer holidays to gain some experience in a marketing environment. I was originally only meant to stay for two weeks but was asked to stay for longer. I was given some creative freedom in designing and compiling the annual ad-spend report for 12 key markets. I was also responsible for the admin of the WARC annual award for creativity.

I worked at Edexcel for 6 months as a general qualifications assessment coordinator, responsible mainly for administration tasks. The role was crucial to the integrity of the qualifications as materials had to be prepared to very tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. It was also a customer-facing role and I was the second point of contact for geography General Qualifications queries at Edexcel often dealing with parents of students, examiners and schools.

This was a venture with a school friend, which involved marketing, protecting, distributing and promoting music. I learned some important networking and negotiation skills during this time.

This involved living in a foreign country. I learned self-reliance, diplomacy, creativity and how to work with people with a different culture, language and experience.
