- Managing all procurement activity of Zohr Gas Filed operation related to the signed GMS contact.
- Receiving & analyzing Site requirements locally & imported.
- Issuing service & spare parts agreements for all equipment with international vendors.
- Following the Client, Consortium & Internal procedures.
- Negotiation the current contracts for extra discounts.
- Paying regular visits to Site to ensure the process running smoothly.
- Responsible for all procurement activities for Egypt operations including 2 sister companies.
- Procuring software, hardware, license, active, passive items & services for running projects.
- Leading a group of 2 subordinates handling the daily activities.
- Reviewing the prices with other branches in the region, to insure the best & competitive opportunities.
- Worked to ensure budgets were being used wisely, and strategies were focused well.
- Participate in developing effective procurement functional strategy.
- Monitor & ensure that all purchased items are delivered to requester JITIF.
- Leading the transformation phase to use the ERP efficiently.
- Temporarily handling all marketing activities.
- Responsible for all procurement & clearing processes for steel products, with approx. 10, 000MT/Month.
- Handling some financial & accounting tasks including Bank’s relations.
- Participating in the sales function, through contacting new segments.
- Surveying & analyzing the International & Local markets for alternative sources & customers.
- Responsible for all procurement functions for all company sectors (Civil, Painting, Fireproofing, Thermal Insulation, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.…).
- Monitoring the requirements of more than 20 active sites (direct & indirect materials), apartment rent, transportation, mobilization & demobilization, all site requirements.
- Monitoring sites expenditure vs. progress, plan, budget & collection.
- Paying regular visits to the sites to follow-up the project progress.
- Sourcing the required materials Locally & Internationally.
- Leading the switch process to ERP system.
- Approaching new clients to open new markets.
- Widening company scope through adding new fields.
- Responsible for all commodities & bulks raw material purchasing related to various food production lines (Biscuit, Candy, Snacks, Nuts, Tea, Instant Drink, Cake & Chocolate) with a yearly average purchasing power of USD 45 Million.
- Managing the procurement & logistics operations of all local & imported shipments.
- Review, approve & monitor annual contracts & PO’s with suppliers & service providers.
- Following-up daily the global stock markets & material flow toward 7 plants.
- Maintaining the international, Saudi Customs & SFDA procedures (exemptions & permissions).
- Leading 2 coordinators responsible for data entry, order’s processing & follow-up.
- Using the MRP model (in process) to control, reduce the inventory & to maximize the flow, considering many factors such as expiry dates, warehouse capacity, sales forecast, etc….
- In cooperation with R & D, always looking for innovations & solutions for cost saving.
- Surveying & analyzing the International & Local markets for alternative sources.
- Open communication channels between Sales, Planning, Production & Purchasing in order to cover the market demand fluctuation (sudden sales orders & seasonality).
- Handling various tasks of the FMCG market.
- Participate in developing effective procurement functional strategy.
- Manage & strengthen the relationship within the suppliers at all levels to reach a partnership instead of a basic relationship.
- Reporting directly to Supply Chain Manager.
- Responsible for production & non-production commodities purchasing, Foreign & Local.
- Main scopes are Protective Coatings, IT, Tools & Equipment purchasing, following up the complete cycle of delivery, implementation & payment of the contracted specifications.
- Temporarily deputized to Alico Egypt (sister company, market leader for aluminum & glazing industries) to implement & enhance the purchasing activity.
- Responsible for sub-contracting & manufacturing activities.
- Handling the related tendering & pre-qualification process.
- Responsible for Purchasing Dept. ISO Audit profile, Vendor List, Supplier KPI’s evaluation & price comparison considering budget, quality & the yearly saving plan.
- Widening the scope to perform Supply Chain, MRP & Planning activities downstream & upstream ensuring Zero business waste & optimum stock levels.
- Used to act as the hub of communication between stakeholders (Internal & external) analyzing their requirements & expectations.
- Responsible for all none production purchasing (furniture, equipment, IT, GYM, uniform, marketing materials, giveaways, cars & apartments rent (short & long term), etc...
- Responsible for all suppliers' contracts & agreements, including outsourcing services, transportation, hotels, cleaning, security, catering contracts, etc…
- Monitor & ensure that all purchased items are delivered to requester Just In Time In Full.
- Member in the teams responsible for reallocation to the new Head Quarter & New Factory.
In addition to the normal tasks & duties of none production purchasing, the following are the Public Relations Duties:
- Restaurant F & B purchasing & administration serving daily 1’000 employees.
- Organizing & arranging the company events (VIP visits, fairs participation, internal & external parties, social activities & trips for the employees & their families, etc...).
- Responsible for Hotels, Air Lines Contracts & Corporate rates, visa formalities.
- Responsible for Insurance contracts, agreements & follow up reimbursements.
- Responsible for Governmental relation in the capacity of company utilities.
- Reporting directly to the German Production Manager.
- Responsible for all department administrative affairs, coordinating between the Production & other Departments, Tasks follow-up & preparing reports about all production relatives.
- Managing a group of 20 workers responsible for assembling the initial parts & preparing the product for the coming processes toward the Assembly line, Fulfilling the production plan & delivery on time, considering high quality standards & cost efficiency.
Supply Chain Diploma
2011 - 2012: Master Degree in Management of International Transport & Logistics – English Section, with accumulative GPA 3.42, at College of International Transport & Logistics - Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, Cairo Campus.
1999 - 2003: Bachelor of Financial & Commercial Studies, Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, Open Learning Center, major Business Administration, sub-major Production & Industrial management.
