Successfully completed a MEP - VCP Phase 3 Electrical project at Saudi ARAMCO Facility at 2 Sites in Southern Area. Was On-site and led a large team of over 300, at sites running in parallel at Abqaiq & Udhaliyah. Project was executed in line with strict adherence to Saudi Aramco Standards, Guidelines, and Inspection procedures in the brown field project site works at their facility. Scheduled work involving co-ordination for Shutdowns, Permits, Interface planning and Resource Scheduling as well as lifting works involving high-capacity Cranes of up-to 350 MT. Achieved project completion 3 months ahead of Schedule.
Headed the PM and Engineering Teams for Domestic and international Project delivery for Grid Automation projects involving SCADA, ADMS, Transformer Monitoring, Asset Health, Metro-Rail and O&G projects. Took a leadership PM role for a critical phase of an Asset Management project for a large Utility (Maha Transco) involving delivering a key component using Agile Methodology from conceptualization to execution. Reviewed periodically critical project Implementations for Key customers for On & Off-shore Project scopes. Advocated enhanced resource planning extending manhours to Headquarter engineering and execution teams for international projects where possible. Responsible for Revenue targets on a quarterly & yearly basis as per Budget and Forecasts.
Project Manager for Substation SCADA/ ADMS project for Majan Electric Co. Oman. Project Manager for Distribution ADMS / SCADA project involving Smart meter deployment at Thimphu, Bhutan. Scope Included the setup of a Telecom Network complete with RF Towers, Civil works & FO cables. Was in charge On-Site for controlled & continued project execution activity during Covid-19 pandemic with minimal resources and teams continuing to provide essential critical installation & services during the lockdown periods on site for the main critical phases of COVID-19 at Thimphu in Bhutan in 2020. Headed the Solution Engineering team for a short duration, to lead proposals and bid team for new projects.
Headed the Product Delivery Division for Grid Automation Software and embedded Data & Comm. Products. Responsible also for Product Technical Support serving customers worldwide with a reliable Technical and support team with stringent response times that customers could rely upon. Responsible for limited product enhancements/upgrades and bug fixes of existing products as well as putting in place a product recall strategy to be adopted for any eventuality with minimal customer interruptions. Avoided project delays by managing the quick transition between 2 EMS manufacturers caused by the sudden disruption/closure of one of the service providers. Prior strategic planning helped achieve diversification/mitigation actions to recover and prepare for such an eventuality, which avoided penalties.
Headed Project Management & Engineering Departments for gas-insulated substations (GIS) Turnkey delivery at the first newly built Greenfield factory in India in 2009. Oversaw the new Project management and Engineering team build-up, training & development with technical specialists/expert teams from France & Switzerland, resulting quickly in locally competent teams. Took charge as Interim PM during a critical phase of the Rampur HEP project for the GIS execution stages. Coordinated weekly planning and scheduling programs with the production and procurement teams to ensure production schedules are achieved and any potential Disruptions/Risks are mitigated suitably. Coordinated to ensure that the in-house supervision I&C services and required testing equipment were scheduled and planned well in advance to meet the site requirements and the customer expectations.
Lead a 30 Member Project team for a Prestigious National load Dispatch Centre Project in Bangladesh, for Power Grid Co. Bangladesh for SCADA, EMS, Project Valued approx. 31 Mill Euro. Led and Managed International project teams to conduct regular review meetings, of Engineering and Project execution (France, Japan, India, Bangladesh) during the Design & Construction, as well as Risk management.
Project Scope involved Electrical, Telecommunication and Civil works including construction of the NLDC 4 Storey building which required employing top contractors and consultants. This being a high visibility project, I reported directly to the Project Director in France, and Top management Teams of India, France, & Bangladesh. Managed the Stakeholder engagement to ensure their support. Lead as Project Manager for the Start-up phase of the Substation SCADA package for the Uttarakhand SLDC (Load Dispatch Centre) project in Dehradun, for Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL).
Project Manager for few Large and Medium Sized Renewable Hydro Power Generation projects (15based out of the Manufacturing plant in Bhopal, India which involved Electrical and Mechanical work packages. Worked as a PM for a Medium Renewable hydro Power project (25 MW at Neriamangalam) in a consortium together with a Civil partner for E&M and Civil scope of works. Led the change project execution methodology in the company by being the first project manager holding overall responsibility for both Electrical and Mechanical scopes, (previously handled by 2 different PMs) team size of 25 people from the Project initiation & planning stage through the Execution stages. Was Project Manager for small & medium-sized Combined Cycle Generators manufactured for Co-Gen Gas Power Plants.
