Responsible for the Group’s HSE Compliance and Programs within Fosroc.
• Manage both the internal and external auditing processes and outcomes, advise, measure and drive the business toward ISO certification; monitor, assess and report on region / OPCO performance and track closure on corrective actions;
• Provide high quality solutions to meet current and future HSE legislative requirements such that compliance is maintained and business advantage is realised across all Fosroc operations;
• Develop and maintain the HSE management system (HSEMS) and the associated processes and guidelines; generate new content in support of operations such that all governance and compliance risks are appropriately managed and tracked.
• Determine the requirements to meet current and developing regulatory compliance for all areas of operation; act as the Group’s regulatory ‘horizon scanner’; analyse, understand and communicate the business impact.
• Identify key systems and processes that drive HSE compliance and monitor their effectiveness. Implement measures to manage the risk from any deficiencies in our current process and procedure.
• Build and manage an oversight capability that monitors compliance and provides a robust tool for continuous improvement.
• Oversee the implementation of Fosroc’s HSE audit and certification programme globally; utilise risk analysis and data to drive continuous improvements in governance, HSE programmes, tools, and processes;
• Develop a risk-based governance audit process;
• Collaborate with HSE and operational stakeholders to deliver targeted information on governance and auditing best practices; operate as HSE liaison with external audit agencies.
• Responsible for management, benchmarking and sharing of internal and external best practices.
• Lead and promote continuous performance improvement in HSE through ISO frameworks and certification; monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the HSE management system (HSEMS); develop programme content and establish training, campaigns and initiatives to improve HSE outcomes in alignment with Fosroc group objectives.
• Train RHSEM (Regional HSE Managers) on the implementation of the Group’s HSE programmes; oversee learning activities, curriculums and resources to ensure the delivery of high quality regional HSE training; evaluate the results and make recommendations for new training methods.
• Analyse the impact of HSE statistical information at a region / OPCO level and champion Group HSE campaigns to deliver best practice options on risk mitigation methods. Measure the businesses performance against the requisite standard, reporting on findings and driving improvement opportunities.

Senior HSSE Advisor at Petrofac International

- Lead a total of 9 Fabrication Yards; 7 in UAE (SSL, Ali & Sons, GPC, Denholm Yam, Lamprell, Dubai Drydocks, Eversendai) and 2 in Oman (L&T, CCC). Managing a team of 2-3 HSSE Advisors in each yard. Scopes included: Fabrication of Modules, Substations, Topsides and Jackets. - Oversee day-to-day HSSE activities in accordance with designated areas of responsibility - Ensure implementation of HSSE initiatives and programs consistent with HSSE plans, legislative requirements and best practice - Ensure to implement Petrofac HSSE initiatives (PAI, SAO, Synergi, S.S.E, STEP etc., ) - Ensure that Task based risk assessments/ JSA’s are developed for all the activities and control measures are implemented to reduce the risk to ALARP - Conduct HSSE Audits, Inspections and self verifications - Ensure Life Saving Rules requirements are communicated and implemented - Participate in Incident Investigations and ensure corrective actions are closed within the time frame - Maintaining trend analysis report based on Incident/Accident, Near miss and daily safety observations - Update and maintain safety database such as, Incident Logs, Action Tracking Register, Safety Man hours and other related HSSE items which need to be updated on a regular basis; - Attend various HSSE meetings with subcontractors and client required by the project and carry out minutes of meetings & correspondence, if needed; - Responsible for the preparation of weekly/monthly HSSE reports such as statistics, trends & analysis, achievement & performance and monthly HSSE presentation for client and corporate; - Deliver HSSE Inductions
- Preparing Gap Analysis between ADNOC new standards and ADNOC Legacy Codes of Practice - Developing and preparing HSSE Plan and procedures for in accordance with Project & client requirement. - Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work in their respective areas. - Reviewing PQDs for potential subcontractors and vendors and make sure they are compliant with Client and Petrofac HSSE requirements. - Participating in HAZID, PHSSER, OHID and HAZCON workshops - Improvement of Contractors HSSE Standards: Make sure standards are implemented while evaluating new bidders. - Participating in all local and international incident investigations. - Ensure lessons learnt are communicated to all projects within 24 hours after finalization of the reports. - Send group e-mails in form of safety alerts to all projects - Conduct weekly follow up for corrective actions on Synergi (Online Incident Database) and ensure incidents are properly logged in Synergi and update the Incident Tracking Register. - Delivered Synergi training to HSSE Administrators (2 sessions with 25 participants each)
