I led a team of qualified Planning Engineers, Quantity Surveyor Engineers, Data Entry Operators in order to succeed in achieving the below mentioned goals:
1. The Updating & Monitoring of the Baseline Schedule as per site progress.
2. Preparation of Section/Zone Detailed Schedules for site usage based on real time data.
3. Calculation of Actual Progress Percentage Completion by Revenue and Manhours with Efficiency on weekly basis.
4. Preparation and Submission of Interim Payment Certificate Invoicing to Client.
5. Preparation and Submission of Variation Orders to the Client on all works varying from Contract.
6. Monitoring and Controlling the Cost for the Project by comparing actual ongoing costs (direct & in-direct) against the budget for Labor, Materials, Subcons, Equip & Sundries.
7. Preparation and discussion of the Cost of Completion of the Project with Project Managers, & Executive Board Members.
8. Acquiring and comparing quotations for certain activities of site, making sure that they meet project requirements and standards.
9. Overseeing the preparation of Subcontract Agreements in order to ensure quantities and unit rates are correct along with payment terms.
10. Preparation & Submission of the Extension of Time and Cost to the Client due to delays incurred on the project beyond the Contractors control, using Window Analysis approach. Worked with two Consultant Companies on this issue - Encozen & Quantum Qatar
11. Preparation of Contractual/Correspondence letters to the Engineer/Client.
12. Follow up with Engineering and Procurement departments in order to ensure that all Shop Drawings and Material Submittals were handed in on time, and within required scope of work as per Contract Specifications and Requirements.
I had the opportunity to work and got training and experience for two months in the field of Scheduling and Cost Control, where my duties ranged from preparing monthly and weekly reports, weekly schedule updates, preparing change orders, budgeting.
I had the opportunity to work and got training and experience for two months in the field of Construction and Contracting, where my duties ranged from Office work, and other departments, viz., Cost Control, Procurement, Structural & QA/QC.
And a full month on site, learning with skilled employees regarding site level of construction.
