Rehabilitation - Reconstruction of Residential Buildings
This is a project regarding the reconstruction of residential Buildings in north Greece.
As Project Manager I am responsible for:
• The Management of all aspects of the project
• Supervise all the construction works

Lusail city Qatar
I was responsible for the construction of two Stay Cable Pedestrian Bridges 120 m span each (CP03A3) budget value 100 million QAR, two concrete post tensioning Bridges 90 m span each, pipeline network (District cooling, gas, potable water etc) Wadi excavation and road works (CP07A-1C) budget value 150 million QAR, overpass Bridge 60 m span with a 80 m pergola (CP07A-1A) budget value 100 QAR.
As Construction Manager I am responsible for:
• The Management of all Technical aspects of the project Construction
• To lead and coordinate meetings (Progress meeting, Design Coordination meeting, Commercial Meeting, Construction/Technical Meeting).
• Reviewing the designs for constructability aspects
• Coordinating the designs
• Liaising with the Contractor and the Client in resolving all the problems of the project
• Ensuring that all technical aspects of the projects are strictly complied with and in conformity with the Contract Documents

CONSTRUCTION OF NORTH EAST UNDERGROUND CAR PARK
FOR QATAR FOUNDATION - EDUCATION CITY

This was a project regarding the construction of an Underground Car Park and a Train Station on top with capacity of 1.000 cars and total budget of 550 million QAR
The project includes 700.000 m3 of excavations, 250.000 m3 concrete works, a large scale pipeline network (District cooling, gas, potable water, etc.) and 30 million euro of electromechanical works.
As Deputy Project Manager I was responsible for:
• The management and the coordination of the Technical, Planning, Construction and Safety aspects of the project
• Reviewing the designs for constructability aspects.
• Coordinating the designs
• Managing the elaboration of the Construction Drawings (Shop Drawings) and the As Built Drawings
• Planning and managing the long lead procurement items
• Liaising with Designer and the Client in resolving all the problems of the design
• Giving solutions to all constructive issues risen on site

“Design, Construction, Financing, Operation, Maintenance and Exploitation of Ionia Odos Motorway from Antirrio to Ioannina, and PATHE Athens (Metamorfossi I/C_ - Maliakos (Skarfia) Ramp of Schimatari - Chalkida PATHE”.
This was a motorway project with BUILD - DESIGN - OPERATE contract. The project included the construction of a new motorway 150 km length and the reconstruction of a 180 km motorway with a total of 1.000 million € budget. The construction of 4 Tunnels 9.2km length, 2.7 km of Bridges, electromechanical works, 10 million m³ of earthworks, 250 km of pipe line, 1.5 million ton of Asphalt and 3.5 million m2 of pavement were included in the project.
The Project was based on Yellow FIDIC Contracts.
The main challenge of this post is to ensure the delivering of the project on time, meeting the Cash Flow requirements
I was Responsible for the Supervision of the Construction Works and my main responsibilities were:
• To ensure the construction of the project according to the designs and the specifications on budget and on time.
• To ensure that the designs are being delivered according the plan.
• To review the designs for constructability issues
• To ensure that the project tasks were completed in all aspects (quality, safety, cost, time)
• To manage the Supervision Construction team
• To liaise, coordinate and cooperate with the Engineer (the Supervising Authority) and the Client (Greek State)
• The reporting to the agencies concerned (State, Board of Directors)
• To attend and coordinate meetings (Progress meeting, Design Coordination meeting, Commercial Meeting, Construction/Technical Meeting)
• Cooperating with multinational big engineering groups
• Ensuring that all communications are clear and unambiguous
• Ensuring the safety and comfort of the Motorway users during the reconstruction works (Traffic Management schemes)

EGNATIA ODOS MOTORWAY
1. Section 4.1.2s Panagia - Grevena. (09/2005-11/2006)
This was a motorway project of 162 million € budget.
The total length of the section was 10 km and included 5 twin Tunnels with total length of 5.9 km, two valley Bridges (1.7 km total length), electromechanical and drainage works of 70 km length and 1, 5 million m³ of earthworks.
2. Section Siatista - Kristalopigi (12/2006-09/2010)
This was a motorway project of 50 million € budget.
The total length of the section was 10, 5 km and one major intersection with two motorways and two secondary intersections with local roads included. Two posttensioning Bridges (150 m total length), electromechanical and drainage works of 50 km length, 1, 5 million m³ of earthworks, 500.000 m2 pavement, 150.000 ton asphalt works and the signage/ marking works were included.
My main duties were the Supervision of the Construction works from the beginning of the project up to the final delivery to the users.
More specifically I was responsible for:
• Supervising all construction works (Drill & Blast Excavation works, Bridges foundation, piers, pre-stressed decks, Retaining walls, box culverts, pile walls, Reinforced embankments, Paving, Asphalt works, Signage & Safety works, Tunneling works with NATM, Drainage and Landscaping works)
• Acting as Client’s representative
• Checking of works quantities and certifying contractor’s bills.
• Cooperating with multi-national engineering groups.
• Attending and coordinating meetings.
• Reporting to the agencies concerned (BoD, CEO, MD).
• Checking Designs for constructability aspects
• Coordinating and managing Traffic Management Designs

Construction of EGNATIA ODOS Highway section 5.1
This was a motorway project of 140 million € crossing northern Greece.
The length of the section was 7 km where the 3 km were tunnels and 0.5 km bridges. Buildings of 2.500 m2, 50 km of pipeline network (drainage) and electromechanical works, 1, 5 million m3 of earthworks, 150.000 m2 pavement, 70.000 ton asphalt works and the signage/marking works were included.
The main challenge of this post was to manage the construction works on an effective way according to the plan and the cost budget, delivering the project on time.
I was responsible for all aspects of the project construction development (budget, scheduling and planning, subcontractors contract management, project control, design proposals, site/field activity, managing driving and developing large project teams and supervising sub-contractors) for the successful construction of the project up to the final delivering.

The main challenge of this post was to develop and maintain a system for the Control of major infrastructure projects such as Motorway and Rail. I was also head of a team responsible to upload an ERP software in an effort to integrate the Control and Planning with the other procedures of the company.
More specific my responsibilities were to:
• Develop the Control procedures of the project construction and provide the suitable means to control and report the progress of the construction activities.
• Develop the KPIs and the reports
• Educate and train the engineers and the personnel involved in the Control procedures
• Attend and coordinate technical meetings
• Monitor the reporting to the Technical Director
• Report to the BoD providing data for the progress of the projects and proposing any corrective actions if applicable
• Advise the Technical Director and the management of the projects for Control and Planning aspects
• Develop plans and budgets for tendering

Large scale Storm Water project -budget 30 million €.
This was a project regarding the flood protection of the south east area of Athens.
The main challenge of this post was to deliver on time an important project for flood defence of Athens.
More specifically I was responsible for the Management of the Construction Works up to the final delivery to the Client. Duties rendered:
The Management of the construction team
Managing the subcontractors and the suppliers
The planning of the construction activities
Acting as representative of the Contractor and liaising with the Client
Advising the contract manager on variation issues
Issuing the monthly payment for the constructed works

Pipe line and Road construction projects
I was engaged as Construction Manager in various projects regarding the construction of Roads, Sewerage and Storm Water networks. These were small and medium size budget projects aiming at the improvement of Athens infrastructure
I was responsible for the planning and management of the construction works (managing site/field activity, and supervising sub-contractors)
Duties rendered
• Managing the everyday site construction activities
• Develop and maintain the project plan and budget
• Mange the site staff the subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure the compliance with contract requirements and the designs
• Liaise with client (Local Authorities)
• Represent the Company
• Advise on contractual and construction matters

Building designs and Supervision of Construction
I was engaged in the Supervision of Building Construction projects as Site Engineer.
As a graduate engineer I was assisting in the supervision of the site activities keeping site logs, estimating quantities, coordinating with the designer and the construction team. Also involved in the preparation of the payment, the updating of the budget and the plan.
