Project: Resident Network Engineer of RedLine WiMax
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance and documentation for the RedLine WiMax equipment, base stations and customer premise equipment of Saudi Telecom Company at the Access Network Operation Center
- Provides enterprise business customer technical solutions and effectively communicate regarding customer technical issues for their end-to-end connectivity of their IP-VPN network through STC MPLS core network. Majority of the circuits composed of but not limited to Direct Internet Access (DIA), Direct Leased Line (DLL), and IP based network that are connected directly to the MPLS network.
- Provisions configuration and activation of customer circuit from the WiMax base station and Cisco switch.
- Interact with other departments to provide information and assistance as necessary.
- Clearly define and escalate problems to Tier 2 and RF Optimization Support for issues needing further investigation.
- Work independently as well as in a team and participate in on-call.
- Also provided technical support to Ericsson and Alcatel fixed Broadband wireless technologies.
Project Engineer of Ericsson Philippines for Digitel Telecommunication Philippines
Project: Ericsson-DMPI Phase 7 North Luzon Project
- Involves in the integration of the Ericsson GSM BTS equipment at the north Luzon areas.
- Provides commissioning, troubleshooting and implementation of the transmission facilities for the BTS up to the BSC.
- Implement the circuit work orders for the fiber connection at the MSC of Digitel for the project.
- Provides reporting for the accomplishment and progress of the project.
- Involves in the design and documentation of DSLAM equipment such as ASAM 7300/7301 and ISAM 7302 under the projects of 15K, 70K and 500K of Saudi Telecom Company for access network whereas the equipment are based on ATM network and IP/MPLS for a Giga Ethernet network technology respectively. Prepares the pertinent documents for the DSLAM Projects such as Method of Procedures (MOP), approvals for the floor plan, equipment DC power design, MDF design allocation, Preliminary Acceptance Test (PAT) documents and other documents that are related to the project. Also involved in the Alcatel-Lucent’s MicroDSLAM and FTTH project at STC for the documentation support.
- Supervised other design engineers for their proper delivery and quality of documentations during the 500K DSLAM Project.
- Served as coordinator with the various sub-contractors of Alcatel-Lucent for their technical and field support.
- Performed routing and switching of voice circuits both for the Local and International trunk lines which use various signalling from R2, ISDN and SS7. Also monitors, configures and testing of the data circuits.
- Handled the different kinds of Network Management System (NMS) for monitoring, configuring, testing and troubleshooting of various telecom circuits of the company which includes X.25, Frame Relay, WLL and Microwave links.
- Provide documentations from the link tests performed for both International and Local networks that includes voice and data circuits to provide the integrity of the WAN environment of the company.
- Provide coordination and technical support with the other telecom carriers either local or international regarding the tie trunks of the company and other concerned departments for their commissioning, testing, integration and restoration activities.
- Monitors and conducts preventive maintenance for the pabx, switches, multiplexers, WLL equipment for its reliable operation.
- Generation of reports, statistics and information concerning the status for all monitored data and voice network equipments.
- Assumes other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
- Performed the reliability testing on the Power Transistor devices operating on high voltages and high current.
- Performed mechanical and electrical measurement for the various power transistor devices that had undergone environmental testing.
- Design of test jigs for the new products of power transistor to meet the requirements for the implementation of reliability testing.
- Performs the preventive maintenance to the Quality and Reliability equipment.
- Provides documentation regarding the statistics and status of quality and reliability equipment.
