- Manage the fit-out works & construction of the shops/store in coordination with the contractor, suppliers and landlords for the timely delivery and as per quality standards;
- Monitor and assess construction progress against program;
- Maintaining communication with the retail landlord and contractor throughout the fit-out process of the shops;
- Preparing bidding packages for shop fit-out projects;
- Coordination with sub-contractors and suppliers;
- Support and review shop Architectural & MEP designs and resolve any technical difficulties and constraints;
- maintaining records and documentation throughout the fit-out construction process;
- Planning the work and efficient allocations of the site resources;
- Supervise and monitor site activities and specific operations as required, ensuring compliance with the Approved Method of Construction and Specifications;
- Check and verify setting-out of construction task to required accuracies and tolerances;
- Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensuring that regulations are adhered to;
- resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise;
- Liaising with client, consultant, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
- Preparing detailed site reports to Project Manager
- Preparing procurement plan of required materials and equipment in lined with the schedule of site activities of the entire project;
- Review and assess technical specification, BoQ (Bill of Quantity) and drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers;
- Analyze and evaluate all purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in description of material and equipment;
- Prepare comparative analyses of suppliers quotations related to specs, price, delivery conditions and mode of transportation;
- Execute strong negotiation skills with suppliers to ensure that target prices, company’s terms and conditions are met;
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with selected suppliers, price and technical specifications
- Coordinate all site inspections with the QC inspectors of main contractor;
- Prepares Inspection Request upon verification of works at site as per ITP;
- Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken;
- Review all inspection remarks for compliance on site;
- Liaise with the site construction engineers and provide assistance when requested;
- Assist the Construction manager & QC manager in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities;
- Prepare technical query for any discrepancies in the drawings and suggest solutions in resolving any problems in buildability without compromising the quality;
- Coordinate with the quality inspectors to ensure that communications exist and are maintained.
