Duties and Responsibilities: As Resident Site Civil Engineer/ Civil & Structural Inspector
Carries out site supervision, handles site problems and queries from clients, contractors or other consultants of the project and ensure contractor complies to the project quality plan and health and safety requirement, evaluate and advise contractor on their work methods and program of work to ensure safe and timely completion of the project. Carries out any other duties assigned by the Deputy General Manager/ Head of Department / Project Manager, regularly assumed as Officer In Charged in the absence of the Project Manager.
Evaluate contractor billing submittal versus actual progress of work and assess application for any extension of time, claims and in accordance to the approved change orders.
Review contractor material submissions such as catalogue, technical data, test reports, shop drawings, technical proposals etc. prior to forwarding and recommending to the head office.
Sign Site memorandum, Site Instructions, reminders to contractors to ensure works are done in accordance to shop drawings and design brief. Issue routine reports, non-compliance reports and review corrective action plans but not limited to other technical correspondence in connection with present project.
Oversees works of contractors to ensure that specifications and drawings are complied with and quality control of drawings and design information is clearly and correctly presented.
1. Review, evaluate and approved Structural, Architectural and Civil shop drawings in accordance to (IFC) Issued for Construction drawings.
2. Participate in review, evaluate and approved coordination drawing in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing to impose relevance in Structural and Architectural design.
Evaluate Architectural and Interior Design implementation, construction or application of materials for Mock ups in accordance to the material approved prior to the clients presentation.
Carry out site inspections and notify Client of variances not in accordance to design specifications, make recommendations on non-compliant works and defective works as well as recommend to head office any alteration and adjustment to original design in view of site condition or constraints. This includes both technical and financial recommendations of the following disciplines:
1. Inspection in Structural and Civil works as per approved shop drawings, materials and project specification.
2. Inspection in Architectural and Interior Design finishes in compliance to the approved mock up, approved material and method of installation.
3. Perform material inspection as per technical details of material submitted ensuring its inclusion with preferred vendors list, (QCS) Qatar Construction Specification and Project specification.
Lead regular ocular actual site coordination for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing assuring all utilities are installed properly in accordance to its design in conjunction to the Architectural and Structural requirement.
Participate in testing and inspections during manufacture and installation of materials and equipment, arranging and witnessing acceptance tests, and advise Client on need for special inspection/tests other that in the Technical Specification.
1. Facilitate the Testing Commissioning, assuring all utilities and equipment is functional prior to Municipality and Civil Defense Inspection.
2. Witnessed Municipality and Civil Defense Inspection.
Preparing and facilitating monthly progress report which includes cost report for every discipline as per approved project schedule.
Organize and delegates day to day activities of the Assistant Resident Engineer and Clerk of Works and ensure all project documents are properly filed and labeled accordingly.

Evaluate and facilitate handing over procedure and closeout of project documentation and as-built drawings until defects and liability period
As a Site Inspector, I oversee that the policies and laws of the Local Water Utilities Administration mandated by the MCWD are strictly adhered by respective water concessionaires. Therefore, I am responsible in the following activities:
Preparing material quantity take-off ensuring its compliance as per applicable standards before and during construction stage.
Reviewing all technical details of the project and proposed changes in design as per actual site condition.
Directly in charge of Quality Control work.
Preparing status report regarding materials and accomplishment on daily and weekly basis.
Conducting inspection and recommendation reports to newly applied applicants for water connection.
Conducting seminars for new applicants. Topic: Rules and Regulations Water Connections Legal and Illegal Toppings.
Assigning account numbers on approved new water connection.
Conducting investigation on statistical report of house hold consumption.
Conducting and preparing report investigation and organized operations on illegal tapings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Discussing requirements with the office manager, archbishop and other professionals like architects, surveyors and building contractors
Review, evaluate and approved structural shop drawings in accordance to (IFC) Issued For Construction drawings.
Conduct inspection in Structural and Civil works as per approved shop drawings, materials and project specification.
Conduct inspection in architectural and interior design finishes in compliance to the approved mock up and material approval.
Analyzing survey, mapping and materials-testing data with computer modeling software.
Assessing the environmental impact and risks connected to projects.
Preparing bids for tenders, and reporting to clients, public agencies and planning bodies.
Managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a project.
Making sure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
Supervising the manpower and preparing Gantt charts, PERT-CPM, purchase orders, canvass and other logistics concern.
