Oversee Safety Compliance for all construction projects under FLUOR ARABIA LTD and Fluor office facilities
• Review for approval of contractors, safety plan.
• Review, Report and Recommend action to correct safety violations.
• Conducts seminars, for all contractors with Fluor Arabia, research and studies for the improvement of safety standard in KAAU with all of Fluor Contractors.
• Provide continuous education to Contractors. Create HSE awareness by safety publications, instructions, rules, posters, awards etc.
• Implement proper execution plan for HSE activities in KAAU
• Conduct weekly safety inspection with each of the contractor’s safety Engineer/safety officer and there supervisor .Provide a safety report to the responsible Senior Construction Engineer/Construction Manager prior to weekly Contractors Construction Meeting.
• Perform random safety patrols of job sites. Address deficiencies with contractor’s safety engineer or supervision present if safety engineer is not available.
• Attend Construction and Management meeting to address safety deficiencies on construction site.
• Maintain and distribute the FAL MEIR and GIMS Reports.
• Maintain a log of contract’s safe man-hours worked without lost time accident.
• Take the lead in inspection of working in confined spaces. Inspect all trench Excavation for safety compliances. Monitor radiographic test by checking the area and keep unauthorized personnel away from the source of exposure.
• Inspect scaffolding installation to ensure compliance as Structural Engineer Design.
• Conducts regular safety meeting and safety consciousness campaign in the company.
• Identify the training for newly arrived employee’s and observe all safety rule and regulations and take necessary action to complete compliance and the safety policies for Training.
• Designs and installs different kind of safety signs (i.e. informative, directional, regulatory, precautionary and other).
• Initiates and institutes a schedule of job for training, through observation of equipment maintenance, material handling and personal hygiene.
• Immediately report serious and fatal accidents to the FAL project Manager and Construction Manager and carry out detailed investigation to prevent future accident.
• Conduct regular inspections of all FAL facilities and provide a deficiency list to the Project Manager and Construction Manager for deficiencies in field offices.
