Played a key role in development of IT related policies and procedures aiding governance, cyber security, risk management, quality assurance, continuous improvement, cost control and regulatory compliance across the organisation.
Streamlined the IT function separating support tasks and creating new leadership positions resulting in improved performance and cost savings.
Managed cloud services utilization, enhancing security, increasing flexibility and reducing capital expenditure which resulted in reconciliation of $667K.
Negotiated with Microsoft to migrate email service to Office 365, reducing enterprise agreement costs, in addition to using the cloud for critical backups. Also, negotiated with Oracle (a hybrid environment) new applications licensing for Taleo (recruitment), Hyperion (financial analysis cloud services) and other HRMS applications.
Conducted a CAFM Software evaluation and implementation. Renegotiating vendor agreements that produced a $1.32 M saving and secured the Microsoft cloud infrastructure as a supporting service for the CAFM implementation.
Led in-house redesign and conversion of applications from Oracle 6I to Oracle 10G (Goods Transportation management, Contract Management, Overtime budgeting, Maintenance Management System, Tendering system, Camps & Housing, Medical insurance) that enabled the effective Oracle ERP integration.
Led the technical and functional Oracle ERP implementation team covering Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Project costing (construction & Maintenance), and EAM, effectively coordinating and aligning divisional and departmental requirements.
Headed network and infrastructure setup at Princess Noura construction project supporting 1700 business users.
Coordinated VPN and Microwave communications setup between the head office, regional offices and remote projects that resulted in a stable redundant network, eliminated the need for onsite server installations, reduced manpower, and centralised all IT services.
