AOU’S FACULTY OF BUSINESS STUDIES AIMS TO: Provide students with the knowledge to succeed in their chosen field and ensure the development of skills in problem solving, ethical decision making, communications, teamwork, and leadership. Increase students' abilities and confidence to handle managerial, financial and administrative activities. Enable students understand how key forces like the economy, the state and the system influence and interact with business. Teach students how to apply the most recent and innovative developments in systems thinking to areas such as information systems, organizational change and professional practice. Acquire and provide knowledge about the different approaches to the analysis and explanation of business problems; how to set targets and plan how to achieve them. Attract, and retain faculty dedicated to education, scholarship and the mission of the FBS. Attract and develop outstanding students who are dedicated to intellectual excellence. Produce primarily basic research, with supporting efforts in applied and pedagogical research that contributes to and complements the mission the AOU. Develop the skills of independent learning through activities of face to face and distance learning. Provide opportunities for continued involvement, education, and professional growth of its graduates.

The Colleges of Technology have taken upon to use the following to achieve these goals: 1- Activate the relationship with the labor market in training and employment. 2- Activate the use of computer and Internet in upgrading and developing the training process. 3- Develop and upgrade the manpower through the extensive training the trainees. 4- Educating the community and raising its level of awareness through offering training courses offer by the Community Service Center and the Continuous Training Center. 5- Improve education and training. 6- Graduate highly qualified cadre that could satisfy the local labor market. 7- Contribute to the administrative and technological development of the public and private social organizations. 8- Improve the technological and vocational awareness of the community. 9- Embrace and develop the capabilities of innovators in the College. 10- Improve technological and applied research of the transfer of technology. 11- Continuous curriculum development in order to cope with the International standards. 12- Deepen the culture of using computer among trainees so that each one of them owns one during the training process. 13- Provide suitable training environment by updating training ingredients
