Job responsibilities:
Capable of handling all of Electrical design needs starting with design parameters or general set of building specifications.
Supervision of the design of various electrical systems for sites and buildings.
Peer review and verification of design calculations and drawings produced by other engineers to ensure correctness, constructability and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Sanity checks to ensure that the design brief is effectively implemented, and that deliverables are properly presented.
Designing for complete lighting and HVAC control through Building management system (BMS).
Participation at coordination and compliance meetings with client’s representatives.
Site surveys and coordination with electrical utility (SEC-Jubail) and client, to obtain latest drawings and to update them before commencing design.
Coordination and cooperation with other disciplines on new requirements, design interference checks and design changes.
Checking of design calculations and drawings prepared by other consultants.
Manage electrical design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
Prepare all technical documentation required for the execution of the project
Having the ability to efficiently and accurately generate Cable Tray/Trench Layout, Instrument Location Plan, Interconnection & Termination Diagrams, Electrical SLDs. and Schematic Diagram.
Essential knowledge of local Regulations.
Fire alarm system and interface with all other relevant systems.
Making Cable Schedule and Bill of Materials for entire Project Electrical System.
Preparing Technical Specifications / Data Sheets for Electrical Equipment.
Lighting layouts and lux calculations.
Power layouts, and load calculations including phase balance and power riser diagram for LV networks.
Cable routing showing cable trays and Trunking after co-ordination with all utilities with cable sizing.
Earthing and lightning proposals to relevant standards.
Development of load lists, equipment list, equipment specification, data sheets & material requisitions.
The design stages ranged from the conceptual level up to IFC (issue for construction) and the production of addendum and design change notices.
Getting approvals from the local authorities such as SEC (Saudi Electricity Company).
Designing of Electrical system for Malls, Multiplex, and Residential Townships.
Space planning For Electrical System in sites (H.T. yard, Transformer, D.G, Panels
(H.T. /L.T.), Cable routes (H.T. /L.T.), Earthling pits etc.)
Calculation of the Total Power requirements as well as back-up power requirement depending upon the location & requirement.
Preparation of Design Basis Reports for the respective projects.
Actively Designs 33KV/11KV Substation, including Transformer selection, D.G. selection (for back-up supply).
Sketching of Single line diagram (SLD) for Distribution system network up to the utility point.
Selection of Switch Gear, Cable Scheduling, preparation of Bill of Quantities for Switchgears, Cables, Electrical Work, Capacitors, and Energy meters.
Design of Earthling System, Lightning Protection & lighting system using Lux level calculation.
Design of Point & circuit wiring for the Interiors as well as Exteriors Works.
Preparation of Complete Electrical Drawings for site Execution work
Preparing of schematics for HV system.
Preparing of schematics for LV system. (CCTV, Public address, Fire alarm, WIFI, Telephone, Television schematics).
Designing of public address, CCTV, Telecommunication, & T.V. system network.
Actively participates in coordination with others services (MEP).
Coordinates with the client & vendor for services and etc.
