Assigned as a Sr. Structural Engineer in Energy Centre & Carpark - PLOT Q Project. Gil checks and reviews the Design drawings and plans which is necessary from the beginning of implementation of the project. He prepares clarification & Technical Queries; perform technical reviews of O & M manuals, Test plans, Material Submittals and Method statements. He monitors the ongoing structural & Civil site activities by implementing the Project Quality Controls Plans and Procedures in accordance with the Projects QC Procedures, QCS 2014, International standards and specific contract requirement. Gil checks and reviews the relevant documents prior to start of construction e.g. IFC drawings and project specification. He encourages/promotes and maintains safety practices in all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents/accidents
Mr. Laput worked as a Structural Inspector in Al-Rayan Expressway C2 Project 7& Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor. He was involved both in inspection and supervision of structural works on the project. He monitored the ongoing structural & Civil activities by implementing the Project Quality Controls Plans and Procedures in accordance with the Projects QC Procedures, QCS 2014, International standards and specific contract requirement. He checked and reviewed the relevant documents prior to start of construction e.g. IFC drawings and project specification. He coordinated with the construction crews for on‐going civil/structural activities, including but not limited to excavation, backfilling and compaction, rebar inspection, formwork inspection, Waterproofing inspection, Post-tensioning (threading, stressing & grouting of tendons) concrete pouring, etc. He coordinated with surveyor to finalize the bench mark survey setting out and levels prior to start of construction. He complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
Mr. Laput Assigned as A Construction Manager in Bridge over Wadi Wej Project and Madina Rd-Halima Al Saadiya Bridge Project in Taif and Jeddah, KSA. He checked and reviewed the Design drawings and plans which is necessary from the beginning of implementation of the project. He prepares clarification drawings, Technical Queries and sketches; perform technical reviews of O & M manuals, Test plans and Method statements. He prepares schedule requirements for both construction materials, construction activities and liaise with Project Manager to achieve. He Carries-out regular inspection at the site to ensure that safety standards are being maintained. Ensure that subordinates on the site are fulfilling their duties correctly with respect to the day to day supervision of the civil and structural works. He provides leadership, organizational support skills and promotes teamwork to achieve the target.
As a Senior Section Engineer. He Acted as A Reinforcement Coordinator in Structural Division (Particularly Tunnels, Bridges, Retaining Walls and Pump Stations) In La Ville Contemporaine Business Bay Phase I & Ii, Infrastructure Works Package 2(800 Million Aed), Yas Island Southern Tunnel Crossing Project (400 Million Aed) And Al Sowwah Island-Roads and Bridges Project (2.8 Billion Aed), Both in Dubai and Abu Dhabi Projects, Respectively, He Checked and Reviewed Design Drawings and Plans. Also Involved in Pre-Checking and Inspections of Rebar Installation Prior to Any Concrete Pouring. Prepare Schedule Requirements for Both Construction Materials, Utilities Materials and Liaise with Project Manager to Achieve. He Was Also Involved and Assigned in The Supervision of Post -Tensioning Works in Five (5) Road Bridges Construction from Profiling of Pt Ducts, Threading of Tendons, Stressing and Grouting. He Carries-Out Regular Inspection at The Site to Ensure That Safety Standards Are Being Maintained. Ensure That Subordinates On the Site Are Fulfilling Their Duties Correctly with Respect to The Day to Day Supervision of the Civil and Structural Works. He Encourages/Promotes and Maintains Safe Site Working Practices with Working Teams.
Mr. Gil Laput handles and supervises various projects during his tenure of seven years as Projects Engineer and Projects Coordinator. He checked and reviewed the Design drawings and plans which is necessary from the beginning of implementation of the project. He monitors and coordinate all fields activities necessary for the efficient and economical implementation of the projects. He prepares the program of works, scheduling of activities and the construction materials needed for the project. He confers and/or coordinates consultants or government representatives in carrying out construction activities, field problems affecting the revision of pay item data. He quantifies the monthly accomplishment and Monthly Billing Reports. The projects he undertaken during his tenure of seven years are the following:
• Expansion of Khamis Mushayt Sewage Treatment Plant, Chlorine Tank and Chlorination Building. (STP)
• Construction of School Buildings, Barracks/ Accommodations, Armory and Perimeter Fences Lighting in Royal Saudi Forces Training Camp - Asir Region(MILITARY TRAINING CAMP)
• Construction of Ground Reservoir (10000 m3 cap.) and Laying of 18.30 kms. 300 mmø. water pipeline under the supervision of Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Abu Arish, Jizan.
• Flood Control Project: Const. of Cofferdams and Riprapping of about 2 kms. Length.
• Construction of Bisha Civil Hospital Building under the Ministry of Health Project.
• Construction of Bisha College of Technology Building under the General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training.
• Laying and Tapping of 7 km. 400mmø Ductile Iron Pipe under the supervision of Sewage and Water Authority, Asir Region.
• Construction of Police Project Management Office Building in Abha and Traffic Management Office Building in Khamis Mushayt.
• Construction of Ministry of Labor Office-Asir Region.
• Construction of Taif College of Technology Building under the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training.
• Installation of 8 km. 200/400 mmø Ductile Iron Pipeline and Construction of water filling station under the supervision of Sewage and Water Authority, Asir Region.
During Mr. Gil Laput’s time as a Project Engineer, He also acted as the Quantity Surveyor of the project. This project is under Philippine-Japan Highway Loan Project, Rural Road Network Development Project ( RRNDP ) Package 2 Bohol ( P217 Million) supervised by KATAHIRA CONSULTING ENGINEERS. The project comprises the activities from Earthworks, Sub-base and Base Course Preparation, Concreting and Drainage Works for about 58 km. roads and construction of two (2) Pre-stressed Bridges. He checked and reviewed the Design drawings and plans which is necessary from the beginning of the implementation of the project in preparation of the As-staked quantities and any possible changes or revisions of plans. He monitors and coordinates all fields’ activities necessary for the efficient and economical implementation of the projects. He confers and/or coordinates consultants or government representatives in carrying out construction activities, field problems affecting the revision of pay item data. He quantifies the Bill of Quantities, Work Accomplishment and Monthly Billing Reports.
Gil checked and reviewed the design drawings and plans which were necessary from the beginning of the implementation of the project. Monitored and coordinated all fields activities necessary for the efficient and economical implementation of the projects. Supervision of construction activities which comprised from earthworks, sub-base and base course preparation, concreting, asphalting and drainage works for about 20 km. roads. Supervised in preparation and checking of as-staked, change orders revised, as-built plans. prepared bidding documents and estimated in preparation for bidding. Quantification of Bill of Quantities work accomplishment and monthly billing reports
