My job responsibilities was to assist the Project Manager in the management of healthcare facilities. The project involved the development of a day care surgery center and polyclinic for a premium business house in UAE. the project involved market survey, facility planning and designing, financial feasibility report and manpower planning
The establishment is a polyclinic located in Sharjah and has a team of five doctors. My job profile was to manage the day to day activities of the clinic, assistance in commissioning, health insurance affiliation, tariff finalization and recruitment. The job profile included training of the staffs, developing policies and procedures, MOH licensing of the clinic and the medical staff. Job Responsibilities:
• Providing best medical care, efficiently performing checkups, diagnosing illness considering physical, psychological and social factors to recommend required treatment.
• Analyzing/ catering to patients on the basis of medical history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. Providing supportive care to patients with serious medical and surgical conditions until the care of that patient can be assumed by appropriate specialist.
• Managing patients both in the emergency/ general ward and providing primary medical care for patients.
• Executing various tests, analysis/ diagnosis images to provide information on patient’s condition, analyzing reports and findings of tests, examinations and diagnosis condition and systematically maintaining patient history records.
• Counseling patient's families to manage illness/injury, explaining post-treatment home care needs including diet, nutrition/exercise programs and performing self-administration of medication and physical therapy.
• Overseeing the routine functioning of the organization, focusing on providing cutting edge medical care to all patients, handling rotation duty, night shifts, wards/ rounds and supervising medical activity across the hospital.
• Keeping abreast with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine.
