Worked as Structural Lead for TransCanada Pipeline Pigging and Metering Projects.
Worked as a Senior Structural Engineer/Area-Lead for the following projects:
Husky Edam East SAGD Project - engineering checker for pipe-racks, and equipment/stack foundations.
Cenovus Energy Narrows Lake-Phase 1A project -- responsible for the design of the main pipe-racks.
Directed and supervised the design and detailing of the Interconnecting piperacks (ICPR) for the Kearl Expansion Project, working as Area Lead / Senior Structural Engineer responsible for Structural design, design review and Project Management. The ICPR involved nearly 3000 ton of steelwork, consisting of around 100 individual piperack modules and bridge modules, stretching over a 3km length of the project site, carrying pipelines of 24” to 52” diameters, cable trays, walk ways and equipments.
Managed a team of 8 structural engineers and designers at home office and coordinated with a team of 30 structural engineers and designers at a remote branch office, for this project.
Provided manpower estimates for costing and budgeting of the above work.
Reported to higher management on progress, schedule, manpower requirement and productivity.
Attended weekly progress/co-ordination meetings and prepared weekly and monthly progress reports.
Reviewed shop drawings including connection design drawings.
Worked as Senior Structural Engineer responsible for the Structural design, design review and Project Management of various projects, some of which are mentioned below.
Designed and detailed the steel structures including their connections for the Pipe-racks and the steel framed process building (MBR building) for the CCRL refineries Water Treatment Plant at Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Reviewed the Structural design of a 5 storied Hospital building, at Levis, Quebec. The structure consisted of concrete framed gravity system and concentrically braced steel frames for SFRS and was located in a high seismic zone, Quebec, Canada.
Designed and detailed additional facilities for the Cranbrook Water Treatment Plant at Cranbrook, BC, Canada.
Worked as Assistant Project Manager, for the construction of enabling works for a 100 storey commercial tower in Doha, Qatar.
Monitored and controlled the progress of work, coordinated between client, contractor and sub consultants, and conducted progress meetings and technical meetings.
Reviewed contractor’s shop drawings, method statements, progress reports and material submittals, and resolved technical issues.
Reviewed and recommended for payment of contractor's monthly progress statements.
• Structural design and detailing of B+G+8 Grand Manor Tower by Market lane, Woodbridge, Ontario including the design of steel structure and connection design.
• B+G+6 Office building for the Bank of Bermuda, at Bermuda.
• Project co-ordination including review of shop drawings and connection drawings, and responses to RFIs for B+G+10 Kolter Towers, Markham, Ontario.
• Designed and detailed a 2B+G+46 storied Residential tower for M/s. College Park Residences at Toronto.
• Designed and detailed a B+G+25 storied Residential tower for M/s. Lefrak condos at New Jersey, USA.
• Assisted in the conceptual and preliminary design for a 2B+G+37 storied residential tower at 590-Jarvis, Toronto.
Worked as a Senior Structural Engineer, supervised a team of Junior engineers and CAD technicians and performed the design and detailing of the following major projects. Was responsible for project management including budgeting and scheduling the jobs.
• Extension of GASCO Oil refinery at Ghayathi, Abu Dhabi. The project consisted of cylindrical oil storage steel tanks on ring foundation, pipe racks and various equipment foundations.
• Chloralkali plant at Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. The project consisted of underground storage tanks, pipe racks, numerous steel process buildings and equipment foundations.
• 5B+ G+ 34storeyed Office building for ADNOC at Abu Dhabi. The building had its lower 12 floors in concrete and upper floors in steel with composite steel beams and profiled decking.
• 4B+G+40 storied Office building for Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank at Abu Dhabi.
• Project co-ordination including attending client review meetings, review of shop drawings, and responses to RFIs for 3B+G+29 storied Zadco-Gasco Towers, for ADNOC at Abu Dhabi.
• Designed the structure and reviewed shop drawings for A380 Aircraft Hangar at Abu Dhabi.
This structure constituted of 90m span x 30m high steel frames resting on piled foundations.
• Designed a B+G+ 25 Residential building for M/s. Al Muttawie Investments. This structure consisted of concrete flat slabs supported on shear walls and columns. It has shear walls as lateral load resisting system and a piled foundation.
• Designed, detailed and prepared fabrication drawings including connection design for Steel buildings involving 50 t EOT cranes for M/s. FBM HUDSON, at Jebel Ali.
• Carried out Finite Element Design of a G + 7 Commercial building for M/s. Barajeel, Dubai.
Worked as Senior Structural Inspector responsible for checking shop drawings, checking concrete and formwork, and overall quality of structural work for the following projects:
• Mafraq Sewage Treatment Works.
• Shahama Main Pumping Station- II.
Worked as Senior Assistant Engineer responsible for the design of the following projects:
• Ground water reservoir and Pumping station.
• Cement Plant for M/s Gujarat Ambuja Cements at Ropar in Punjab, India.
• Pre-stressed concrete pipes for Sewerage lines for Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
