BMMI is a diversified retail and distribution, hospitality, and contract services and supply group providing end-to-end supply chain solutions, integrated facility management, logistics, and procurement services. Operating across 9 countries in the Middle East and Africa, BMMI has more than 30 clients across 50 plus sites/projects.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the COO and managing 20 direct reports and over 750 indirect reports across 9 countries.
• Direct all facilities operations, engineering and projects across the Middle East and Africa:
- Manage all the facilities teams responsible for the operations for all facilities such as housekeeping, cleaning, and janitorial, reception services, back office, store, waste management, pest control and catering services.
- Manage all the technical teams responsible for the operations and maintenance of the electrical mechanical, plumbing HVAC and mechanical equipment/machinery.
- Plan, coordinate and manage all scheduled maintenance for all equipment and assets.
- Responsible for Engineering and Design as well as carrying out feasibility studies.
• Financial Management - planning and budgeting for operation and maintenance, facility repairs and improvements costing. Develop and implement CAPEX/OPEX,
• Manage engineering/projects team, project management, construction, and installation work for projects/renovations.
• Direct and carry out testing and commissioning for all new works, upgrades and renovations.
• Respond to any outages/issues and roll out and implement business continuity plans in times of emergencies. Carry out due diligence prior to acquisition/investing in new ventures/assets.
• Develop and implement measures for cost recording, analysing standards, programs, and reports.
• Develop infrastructure upgrade plans and identify associated priorities, opportunities, and risks.
• Preparation of write ups/documentation and cost estimation/budgets for engineering/technical and FM projects/tenders. Carry out feasibility for new ventures/business development.
• Preparation of RFP and scope of works for third party vendors and sub-contractors.
• Design and implement KPIs to measure the performance of BMMI teams, contracted service providers, vendors as well as critical infrastructure equipment performance.
• Design and implement staff training programs for the personnel’s technical and management competencies after assessing their needs. Act as mentor for new joiners.
• Mitigating risk and enhancing compliance across all facilities
• Manage and guide relationships with the on-site client stakeholders (Client, users, vendors, contractors, federal authorities, civil defence, utilities)
