 Handling all kinds of critical care patient.
 Co - ordination of other staff members & duties as a team leader and ensuring all the patients are getting priority wise treatment. Assessing a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans
 Providing advanced life support, ventilator support.
 Responding to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment.
 Supervising and overseeing the work of licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nursing aides, and orderlies. Here, supervisory duties may include basics like scheduling, training, monitoring and assisting.
 Care of CABG, AVR, and MVR patients.
 Assisting physicians in performing procedure such as intubations, ICD insertion, CVP line insertion, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Cardiocentesis, Hemodialysis catheter insertion and Arterial catheter insertion.
Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function
properly
 Administering intravenous fluids, medications and blood products.
 Ordering diagnostic tests
 Acting as patient advocate
 Collaborating with fellow members of the critical care team
 Providing education and support to patient families.
