Project: Gujarat Refinery J-18, Capacity Expansion Project for IOCL, (FEED, PMC & Engg):
• Attending Project meetings, understanding the project requirement and generating the TQ’s and submitting the same to the client for detailed confirmations.
• Review and evaluating the vendor documents like BDEP, process P&ID’s, PDS, plot plan, cause & effect matrix and process control philosophy.
• Conducting site survey to understand the site status and existing system and all other resource availability.
• Preparing all FEED instrumentation design engineering and documentation like Instrumentation specs & data sheets, System Architecture, Control Room Layouts, cost and construction MTO and MR.
• Selection and sizing of the filed instruments (control valve, Orifice, PSV) as per approved standards using INSTRU CAL and INTOOLS.
• Floating enquiry and getting offers from the vendor for the special instruments like controllers, control valves, flow elements, analyzers, MMS and CMS, Evaluating the same for the technical comparison.
• Reviewing vendor interlock schemes with respect the C&E, P&ID and control Narrative.
Project: Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL), (Fertalizer Project, Green Field):
• Review and evaluating the vendor documents like BDEP, process P&ID’s, PDS, plot plan, cause & effect matrix and process control philosophy.
• Preparing all instrumentation design engineering specification, Instrumentation specs & data sheets.
• Preparations of MR for field instruments like Pressure Gauge, Flow element, DP Flow and Pressure Transmitters.
• Floating enquiry and getting offers from the vendor and evaluating the same to complete the TBE (Technical Bid Tabulation).
Project: Project: Standby SRU and Additional Storage tanks. (IOCL-Paradip, Brown field):
• Planning the site visit and understading the existing system interms of system configuration, availability, capacity and capability.
• Selecting the control system, IO modules, sizing the loading with respect to the existing system.
• Preparing all instrumentation engineering documentation Like Design Basis, Specifications, Instrument database, control narratives, cause effect matrix, Instrument sizing, panel specifications, and all other engineering activities according to the exisiting docuementation and procedures.
• Preparation of MR for all field instruments, vedor packages like (metering Skid), control systems and the specila type level instruments like radar and servo and evaluvating the same with respect to the requirements.
• Interfacing new implementation with existing system and facilities.

• Perform Instrumentation sizing calculations and selection of electrical cables, controllers (PLC, DCS) and field Instruments and air compressor sizing according to instrument air requirements.
• Prepare and design the ICSS architecture and planning for interfacing all the vendor packages and our own system into the ICSS.
• Preparing and evaluating of procedures and philosophies like control narratives, and cause & effects, specifications for MCC/Control panels, F&G and Safety systems.
• Providing inputs and reviewing of detailed drawings such as 3D/2D models like hook-up, tray routing, cable block diagrams, installation drawings, and electrical panel wiring drawings.
• Preparing the FAT procedures and participating into FAT and resolving the technical issues on the H/W & S/W FAT and SAT and generating punch list based on the non-compliances.
• Evaluating Vendor/Client engineering documents and construction drawings like P&ID, tray routing, hook ups, tray layout, instrument location drawings and models.
• Providing comments on the vendor data sheets, drawings and test inspection reports and giving dispatch clearance to the vendor. The dispatched materials are carefully received at site and inspecting the materials and ensuring all the received materials all are as per requirements.
