• Review Construction Environmental Management Plans & Consultant Environmental Management Plans and coordination with Authority for approval process.
• Leads Project Environmental Kick-Off Meeting.
• Formulate procedures for the implementation of Environmental Management System.

• Advise the HSE Manager on matters of continual improvement for Environment
• Conduct Environmental audits & inspections to all projects assigned and attend progress meetings to provide guidance on the environmental requirements.
• Conduct Environmental and Sustainability assessment to all the projects.

• Liaise with project team representatives for any Environmental related incidents and ensure that the reporting protocols are being followed.
• Lead or assist on any environmental incident investigation to ensure that the root cause are properly controlled, mitigated and analyzed.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS
• Responsible for overseeing the Environmental performance, developing strategies, implementing and monitoring the environmental strategies.
• Preparation and review of technical reports such as Construction Environmental management plan (CEMP), Sustainability plan and Waste management plan.
• Auditing, analysing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies.
• Implementation of local legislation, permit application procedures in compliance with legal
requirement.
• Coordination with client, consultant and subcontractors and implementing the procedures and practices in line with requirements.
• Implementation of resources and energy conservation measures, monitoring energy and water consumption, assessing business decisions for sustainability and identifying opportunities for increasing energy and water efficiency.
• Carrying out Ambient Air quality, point source air emissions, noise and vibration monitoring.
• Oversee waste management (incudes solid and water both hazardous and non-hazardous waste) with regards to segregation, reusing, coordinating with approved subcontractors for recycling, safe removal, handling, transportation and disposal.
• Preparation and submission of environmental permit applications and its related support documents and subsequent follow up with regulatory bodies for its approval/renewal
• Carrying out compliance check for the implementation of environmental procedures with respect to the national and the international environmental laws, regulations and standards
• Carrying out Environmental audits as per ISO 14001:2015 to meet the organizational EMS requirements.
• Plan and coordinate the oil spill containment and the proper disposal of contaminated sand and other hazardous waste generated.

Roles and responsibility includes,
• Preparation of Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) in coordination with 3rd party consultant for the project and obtaining approval from ASHGAL

• Preparation of the Environmental Permit application and monitoring the Permit requirements and compliance with respect to permit condition and national regulations.
