Doha Business Consulting is a start-up company formed in 2013 to provide services to foreign and local clients wishing to enter into the Qatar market.
- Assist multinational companies to enter into Qatar and provide senior level support on the commercial environment.
- Identify key opportunities to succeed in both public tenders, private contracts and other business opportunities in Qatar.
- Development of company brand and strong business network including senior level management at multinational companies, Embassies, Trade bodies and local Government entities.
- Lead contact point between the Company and Shareholders which includes weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports and chairing of meetings.
- Responsible for the oversight of 2015 budget projections and management of actual budget.
- Manage, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of all business processes and procedures to ensure a high quality service and an efficient operation is delivered.
- Leading the business services and government liaison services teams, a total of 6 staff.
- Creation and development of company staff structure including organisational structure, staff recruitment, job roles, staff KPI’s, training needs and performance reviews in line with company objectives and goals and local labour laws.
- Make business decisions that are financially responsible and accountable, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Development and oversight of marketing strategy and revision of service offerings.
- Review KPI data including financial, sales, and activity reports.
- Identifying and reporting on new global investment opportunities for shareholders, including feasibility reports.
- Responsible for lead generation and completing due diligence review of potential corporate partners.
- Company formation expert, invited to be a guest speaker at various trade mission events.
- Presenting to senior management on profile, risk and opportunities of entering into corporate partnership agreement with potential clients.
- Preparing proposals, letters of engagement and contracts in line with local laws.
- Designing and implementing efficient work flow systems for accurate processing of new company incorporation in line with local laws.
- Development of creative market entry strategies and cost efficient solutions for potential clients to enter the Qatar market.
- Creation and development of corporate identity and branding including all corporate, promotional and online materials.
- Development of a company operations manual including HR policies and procedures, bonus structures and operational policies and procedures in accordance with local laws.
- Creation, development and implementation of a CRM system for the accurate tracking of clients and leads.
- Market research in the following sectors; healthcare, chemicals, food and beverage, construction infrastructure, IT and pharmaceuticals.
- Integral part of a team responsible for the transformation of 2500 insurance brokers business being serviced by Aviva.
- Management and development of data capture and CRM tools to allow data analysis of performance across the two main UK offices, supporting up to 250 simultaneous users.
- Fully responsible for training 180 staff across the UK on how to use these tools and how to effectively use the data that it captures.
- Instrumental in successfully leading changes in departmental structure and processes to help build stronger relationships with customers. This included giving greater levels of authority to staff and empowering staff at all levels to develop creative ideas to improve customer relations and in turn, business performance
- Responsible for identifying an opportunity to streamline business policies and procedures to promote service excellence resulting in a £16 million uplift in gross premium.
- Outstanding performance award received in 2012 performing in the top 15% of all employees
- Responsible for gathering and analysing data to create weekly and monthly reports on company KPI’s for senior management. These reports are created using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab and SQL.
- Responsible for the production of future staffing requirements based on growth predictions and financial budgeting constraints.
- Influential in introducing 'Demand Analysis' to the department leading to a greater understanding of performance and identifying areas for improvement and development.
- Responsible for handling new business proposals including risk evaluation, preparation of associated paperwork, renewal invitations including analysis of risk and profitability and general customer service enquiries.
- Part of a team that successfully contributed to the doubling of Written Premium from £500 million to £600 million while remaining profitable.
- Identified as 'future rising talent' within Aviva and moved to the Measure and Insight Department for Broker Personal Lines during 2009.
