Polysilicon plant phase-1- Chemical Complex- 8000 MTY: Interconnecting processes units:
Hydrogen generation, N2 supply, TCS, VGR, EVS, CVD, Convertors, Boilers, Cooling towers,
Polish water generation, IA/PA generation, Waste water treatment, NG & diesel system, FW, STP,
PW, RO desalination plant, HCL/ NaOH storage, Ammonia Chillers etc.
Plant Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Phase:
Attended daily PMC, Commissioning / Operations meetings with contractors / subcontractors &
representing operations in walk downs and test pack inspections with the constructions team.
Monitor / report to Operations / Commissioning Manager or Operation Section Head for contractors
and subcontractors pre-commissioning and commissioning progress.
Participate in preparation and review of specific procedures: blowing, flushing, leak test, inertizing,
for Interconnecting processes, tank Farm and Utility Systems (CWS, SGS, AGU, PW, FW, and FG).
Cold / hot loop testing, functionality checks. Reviewing methods of Statement and Operation Test
Procedures (OTP) for PMC, Commissioning / Operation activities.
Participate in Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) and application of the SIMOPS rules, ensures
compliance with LOTO for all Interconnecting Points of Units Battery Limits. Provided technical
input during planned systems fills, runs, N2 testing, OTP’s, etc.
For the towing period, responsibilities included nitrogen preservation to all vessels and associated
pipe work, Rotational equipment preservation, including running of lubrication and chemical
injection pumps, barring of motors and gearboxes as per vendor instruction. Develop preservation
and rotational equipment monitoring spreadsheets.
Coordinate activities of Vendors and support their activities as necessary. Cooperate with
Technical Discipline Supervisors: Electrical, Mechanical, Instrument, DCS
Start-up & Operations Phase:
Ensuring safe & efficient operation of running equipment’s, ISBL / OSBL, Utilities units to meet,
production demand. Assigned manpower for shift operations team & provide daily operating
instructions. Involve in troubleshooting of units for any shutdown & rectification / startup safely.
Improvement in plant operation & keeping record of aa units operating parameters. Perform
necessary inspection to verify units are functioning within condition limits for purpose intended or
Propose modification in current design to improve units stable / smooth operations. Prepare MOC’s
& follow-up with all disciplines for further approval.
To Optimize operating conditions & optimize cost without compromising quality. Co-ordination with
all departments for follow-up on issues & reporting. Follow-up with contractors for water analysis &
recommend changes. Accordingly maintain inventories for Utilities chemicals & forecast.

Assist maintenance team for planning & execution of day to day breakdown works. Weekly
meeting with planner for look-ahead plan for plant PM work execution. Advice maintenance team
to develop PM plan for plant equipment’s & setup frequency in SAP based on operating conditions.
To coordinate / Communicate Quarterly meeting with QP for forecast & Neighbour / associated
industries, sea water, NG, GASAL for smooth ISBL/OSBL operations & to ensure mandatory
requirement of fire water engines, emergency diesel engine testing perform as per law /regularities
and submitting report on time.
To ensure Emergency response plan, HSE procedures understanding & implementation within
operations group. Prepare Shift schedules / operators leaves plan/ KPI’s closeouts/ shift changes.
Conduct technical training for Operators and carry out operator competency assessment.
Polypropylene Plant, PP1 / PP2 processes & Common Utilities, Borealis Technology - 8, 000 MTY
Loop & gas phase reactors, Propylene storage & Feed system, Catalyst loading & injection
Recovery Units, strippers, blowdown system, Propylene drying system, CO, O2 removal Units.
Plant Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Phase:
Follow-up, daily activities with commissioning team / contractors (blowing the lines, flushing,
equipment inspections, gross air leak test, first fill of equipment’s, Cold / hot loop testing,
functionality checks & first equipment start-up,
Manage technical issues relating to mechanical completion, pre-commissioning activities and
OTP’s, follow up the RFC & RFCU walk through. Review all needed documents for the test run
preparation and execution. Review test reports, turnover packages and acceptance certificates.
Prepare Work Permits including, ICC Certificate, Electrical and Mechanical lock-out & tag-out,
Isolation Plan, Task Risk Assessment, barricading and depressurization of equipment to effect safe
work through PTW System.
Start-up & Operations Phase:
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of PP processes loop reactors, gas phase, recovery,
feed units, ISBL, OSBL from filed / DCS to ensure that all processes and equipment associated
with PP production & common utilities are safe and efficient manner as per approved SOP’s.
Emergency handling, in case of equipment failure & controlling units to back in service safely.
Follow-up on operating parameters & recipe adjustments as per production plan. lab results &
corrections accordingly, to keep product “ON Spec”. Handovers & takeover shift operation for
smooth operations of both PP1/2.
PDH & Polypropylene Plant, Basell Technology - 400K MTY. Loop & gas phase reactors,
Propylene storage, Feed system, Catalyst loading & injection Recovery Units, strippers, blowdown
system, Propylene drying system, CO removal Unit, propane storage, Cold box, PSA unit, H2
compressors, steam turbine etc.
Plant Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Phase:
Perform technical tasks assigned by operations Supervisor related to the preparation of the pre-
commissioning, commissioning and start up activities. Review all pre-comm. activities performed
by contractors, (blowing the lines, equipment inspections, lube oil flushing, degreasing, chemical
cleaning, steam blowing, leak test, reinstatement, etc.)
Commissioning, start-up of propane chillers, flare, fuel gas, air compressors, nitrogen, H type
heavy duty recovery compressors, Columns, Liquid ring compressors, Teal, catalyst, dumping
system, CO injection, syndyne pumps, boilers, PSA, Cold box etc. Fully support PDH operation
team during first line-up of propylene to spheres, coordination with Panel and Field Operators.
Perform RFC & RFSU walk through, punch list / clearance. Review mechanical completion is in
accordance with project norms. and all the equipment’s are meeting the required specification.
Contributing to the development of commissioning and start up procedures, marked-up P@ID’s,
establish system boundaries. Fully support the commissioning team during the first operation
period in order to reach stable operating conditions, making final adjustments and optimizing the
performances of the Units,
Start-up & Operations Phase:

Polyvinyl Chloride Plant - Units: Gas turbine generator, HRSG, Auxiliary boiler, Wastewater
Treatment, Deionize water treatment, VCM sphere, Tank farm, Natural gas / HSD fuel system,
Cooling Towers, Air generation unit, N2 storage & distribution, Fire water, tank farm.
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of Utility Plant. Involved in all the pre-commissioning
and commissioning, annual TA activities. Operate units as SOP’s & maintain equipment’s as per
operating conditions. Emergency handling & normalization unit safely.
Prepare work permits, electrical and mechanical lock-out & tag-out, LV/HV breakers operation,
barricading and depressurization of equipment, to affect safe work through PTW System. Involve in
GTG commissioning, A/B/C inspections, first operation period of GTG and Steam generation.
Performing routine operations checks for oxidation reactors & incinerators, quenching system,
slurry driers, 18 MW Process air compressors Operation, ETP, etc
Technical Expertise:
Pre-commissioning: performing conformity checks, internal inspection, punch list, hydro test,
tightness test, air blowing, water flushing, steam blowing, chemical cleaning, degreasing - Ready
for Commissioning.
Commissioning: performing equipment energization, dynamic verifications, solo run, functional
test, vessel boxing-up. Utilities start up, activities related to oil and gas in preparation: piping dry-
out, leak test, inerting, chemicals loading, operational tests - Ready for start-up.
Start-up: Integration of process, load testing, streamline processes, bringing plant in operation,
performance test - Provisional / Final Acceptance. Quality and procedural methodology including
OPERCOM. PID, PFD, systems and subsystems, test packs, procedures writing, methods of
statement, work permit, risk assessment.
Operations: Extensive experience in Process & Utility plants operation, Gas Compression, Gas-
Oil-Water Separation, strippers, Columns, gas turbines, boilers, Condensate recovery, waste
water treatment, Natural gas & diesel systems, ammonia / propane Chillers, Polypropylene,
Interconnecting, Tank Farm, Utilities (PSA, ASU, PW, FW, FG.) etc.
