My role is to work with General Manager to grow the construction business, supervising the ICB and PCB tenders.
CGICOP has a strong and diverse client list in the construction sector and I am looking after the procurement business to not only work on opportunities with the open tenders but to develop new clients and grow revenue.
Assignments includes but not limited to following:
Promote and develop construction manning business;
Promotion and marketing of services with focus on building and infrastructure business;
Maintain overview of key market and industry developments within Pakistan;
Develop potential customers and discuss business opportunities;
Provide client interface for the life cycle of the operations contact / liaison;
Keep updated and participate in business related conferences, exhibitions and network sessions;
Keeps close contact with industrial resources;
Collaborate with CGICOP country teams on business opportunities;
Provide leadership for crewing and inter-related personnel;
Travel within Pakistan in order to meet potential clients, site visits, bid submissions and progress monitoring.
After award of project I did successful Contract Administration of the site under FIDIC 2010 MDB
Contracts (various: including formal, short form, and annual contracts)—Drafting, Evaluation, Negotiation and Execution:
Commercial and Public (Federal, State and Local Municipalities) Contracting
Served as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters, ensuring timely review and approval / reconciliation of variations.
As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy.
Work with Risk Management Department / Finance to coordinate contractual insurance requirements.
Work with Finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, export controls etc. including ‘financial engineering’ and understanding / evaluating economic impact of terms and term options.
Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation.
Handle on-going issue and change management
Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverable, invoicing etc.)
Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal.

Preparing and review on Rate Analysis, Contract Variations and Deviations, and Project Escalations other than and project scheduling and cost monitoring. Submitting invoices, escalations and claims for ongoing projects, sorting out pending and disputed payments.
Preparation / verification Bill of Quantities and materials takeoff in-house designed projects, leading the team of Contract Management and Quantity Surveying Section.
Responsible for procurement of subcontracts, cost and value engineering, invoicing to client, detailed quantity takeoff, rate analysis and budget, reporting etc.

Recording queries and explanations to site engineers for complex computer program generated Re-bar and other civil and structural drawings and design documents. Coordinating in preparing Shop and As-built drawings, valuations of works executed and progress monitoring.
