Aviation Maintenance Team Electrical Technician

Responsibility includes:
Installation, calibration, troubleshoots and repairs various types of fuel depot instruments and electrical equipment including generators, high and low voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, relays and motor protective devices, transformers, public address and telephone systems, HVAC controls,
alarm and electrical control systems
Maintenances in proper working order all regular and emergency electrical power, lighting, and control equipment. Examines, cleans, and tests electrical equipment and wiring in accordance with plant preventive maintenance schedule.
Maintenance and repairs outside equipment including, but not limited to: depot lighting systems, fuel handling equipment, switchgear, power transformers
Works safely on assigned systems and equipment
Assists in planning and scheduling maintenance and prepares detailed records and reports in a timely manner.
Provides training and instruction to subordinate personnel and advises an assigned supervisor of level of job knowledge, skills, and abilities of personnel in training.
Responds under emergency conditions.
Project Engineering, Design activities like preparation Instrument Specification, control schematics, cable schedule, control room layout, field instrument Layouts, MTOs, Technical Bid analysis, Inspection, familiarity with international codes & standards, Hazardous area equipment & practices, cost estimation.
Supervision of Instruments Installation, Instrument cable laying, conduit installation, JB installation, inspection, loop checking, site acceptance test, punch list clearance system sign off, site modification as required at site condition, discuss & finalize with clients changes required at site. Co-ordination with vendor representative for special Inst./system checking/commissioning. ESD/F&G system modification/ start up loop by loop transfer. Co-ordination with client kick off meeting, monthly progress review meeting, close out report hand over as built documents/drawings, survey changes, field changes / spares etc.
• Instrument Awareness: Radar Gauges, Pressure Transmitters, Pressure Gauges, Pressure Switches, Temperature Gauges, Flow Meters, Motor Operated Valves, Level Switches, UPS System, Junction Boxes, LV Panels, Distribution Boards, Emergency Shutdown systems, Spillage Detection System, Fire Alarm Systems and Instrumentation systems as per the requirement and control philosophies.
• Engineering Documents: Instrument I/O List, Instrument specification sheet (ISS), Instrument installation Schedule (IIS), Instrument mounting and piping details, Terminals Block diagrams & Interconnection diagrams, Block diagrams, Project Specification & Datasheets
• Generating Autocad Drawings - Interconnection drawings, general layout drawings, cable routing layout, loop diagrams, cause & effect drawings, emergency shutdown systems, earthing & lightning protection systems, leak detection systems, lighting layout/ power layout, P&IDs.
• Standard Installation Details: Instrument Installation and mounting details, instrument piping details.
• Other Technical Skills: Vendor Drawing Review, Technical Liaison with Vendors, Interaction with Clients & Contractors, Coordination with other disciplines, Interdisciplinary review, Support to Procurement team/Technical Bid Evaluation(TBE), MR Preparation & Support to Construction team.
Calibration and Maintenance of instruments.
Responsible for site based engineering / modifications and obtain approval from client / consultant.
Preparation of procedures and method statements.
Knowledge in P & ID diagram.
Co-ordinate with purchase manager / procurement department to review the status of procurement activities and take corrective action as needed.
Co-ordinate with the expediting team for delivery of equipment and materials in order to monitor the status of equipment delivery by the vendor
Involvement in procurement of materials such as technical evaluation of materials.
Instrument cable schedule preparation and selections.
