I have purchased a 240 year old wooden, abandoned, 120 m2 house in my hometown in Austria.
I have changed all flooring, installed partly dry walling or plastered walls. I have pained all the interior walls.
Most of the extensive renovation is now completed and the property is habitable again.
As Site Manager PMC, I was responsible for the Construction Management of Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation (SKADA supplied by Siemens for Oil Pipelines only) for the complete Rehabilitation of a Distribution Station, a Storage Cavern and all the interconnecting Pipelines.
The work included the complete removal of existing foundations and flooring, as well as the installation of new foundations of the Distribution Station.
It further consisted of the below ground installation of 2 x DN 600 & 2 x DN 250 Oil and Flushing Water Pipelines
We used Micro Tunneling below one existing public road.

Responsible for the complete installation of an Aluminium Coil Cutting Plant.
Managing a High Priority Survey Project for Southern Oil Company for a Water Treatment Plant for Injection Water for Oil Fields in Southern Iraq.
The Surveys include UXO, Topographical, Metocean, Bathymetric, Geotechnical, Geophysical and Water Quality Sampling
Headed up the PMC team for Halfaya Oil Field for PetroChina
The Team consisted of 51 Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, Inspectors, Planners and Document Controllers.
We handled a total of 32 contracts for the construction of a Central Process Facility COF2, with a capacity of 200 000 BOPD.
The project included all necessary facilities like Well Pads, Flow & Trunk Lines, Power Plant, Source Water Plant, Produced Water Treatment Plant, Gas Receiving Station, Halfaya Pump Station, Pipelines, Overhead Transmission Lines, etc.
Am the General Manager of a company involved mainly in Oil & Gas Projects.
Presently we are executing a Frame Work Agreement to supply Engineering Services for a company for an Oil Exploration Project in Kurdistan.
I am performing extensive Marketing with various Oil Exploration Companies in Erbil, Kurdistan, as well as Yemen.
We are setting up a branch office in Kurdistan.
We are further manufacuring an Early Production Facility ofr either rental or sale in Kurdistan.
Responsible for Expediting and Coordination of all Procurement Functions on a PMC basis on behalf of the Client IPIC for CPECC the EPC Contractor.

Checking of Purchase / Variation Order.
Verification of Invoice Payments.
Checking of Capped Amount Items.
Expediting Progress.
Managing direct Subcontracts for IPIC.
Responsible for the complete installation and commissioning of one Wire Rod Mill for Saarstahl in Saarbruecken followed by an other one for TSW in Trier Germany.
I was employed as a Project Manager. I was managing various multi million Dirham fabrication related projects mainly for the Oil & Gas Industry for UAE and overseas clients.
We have built a complete Glycol and Waste Handling Skid for the Revamp of GTP Facilities at USSC for Prosernat/Technip/ADMA OPCO
WE have built 4 Glycol Re-boiler vessels for Siirtec Nigi from Italy for QPD in Dukhan
We have also completed a Waste Gas Handling Skid for ZWSC GGII Sour Gas Flare Elimination Project. ADMA OPCO
We have fabricated a Gas Dehydration Skid for Kuwait Oil Company.
We have completed two Glycol Re-boiler Skids for Prosernat/Technip/ ADCO NEB project.
We have fabricated 39 Pressure Vessels for Snamprogetti for the ADCO Bu Hasa Project
For my last project however I was seconded to our sister company, GPC to manage the project of refurbishing of an Accommodation Module and placing it on a Jack Up Barge. We also fitted all the associated piping, Safety Equipment, a Bridge Landing, Walkways, a Desalination Plant, Sewerage Treatment Plant, 2 Generator Sets, a Mobile Crane and 2 Winches.
Part of my scope of work was:
• To compile the relevant standards and procedures for timely issuance to our clients
• To coordinate and prepare an overall Base Line Schedule Plan in conjunction with the relevant material delivery dates, within the construction and resources capabilities of our company, based on the contractual delivery dates
• Set Fabrication Mile Stones
• Estimate costs and durations for extras requested by our client.
• Monitor and control the procurement/fabrication progress/cost against the Base Line Schedule
• Prepare and manage Recovery Schedules, caused by unforeseen delays
• Prepare progress reports for Clients as well as our own Top Management
Was employed as a Project Engineer. Coordinate projects, for a plant that is currently in operation, from the planning, design, procurement, erection, pressure testing, punch listing, commissioning to hand over, with extensive interaction with sub-contractors and client.
Worked on various project during my 10 years with the company
Was extensive involved in the design of a US$ 100 000 000.00 Gas Reformer Project for Mossgas Refinery and was the transferred to site and seconded to ICAL (our Main Mechanical Contractor) as their Contracts Engineer. After 12 month I was called back to Lurgis site office and than successfully co-ordinated Ical's piping construction activities. On completion of the construction stage I joined the Commission Team until the end of the project.
In April 1993 I returned to Lurgis Head Office in Johannesburg and worked as Piping Design Engineer on an Alkylamine Chemical Plant for Karbochem Newcastle. I was later in charge of the Mechanical and Piping Erection on site.
Thereafter I was seconded for two years to Kendal Power Station as Project Manager for mechanical & piping projects.
After returning to Head Office I worked as Lead Piping Engineer for a Chromic Acid Plant in Newcastle and was later seconded to site as Project Engineer.
Worked as a Contracts Engineer for Life Extension Program for Eskom Power Stations.
Worked as Piping Material Engineer on the Mossgas Refinery Project, specifying materials and line numbering of FlowSheets, assisting in the preparation of Line Classes and Wall thickness calculations to ANSI B 31, 3.
Worked as a Piping Design Engineer for a Pulping Plant for Mondi Richard Bay.
Worked as Piping Checker, checking Isometrics for a Chlorine Plant for AE&CI.
Was seconded to E. L. Bateman as Piping Designer for the Saref Refinery.
Was appointed as a Piping Design Engineer and handled projects for gold, platinum and coal mines and process plants from design to commissioning.
Worked as a Piping Designer on the Lethabo Power Station Ash Handling Plant.
First worked at Sasol Refineries where we recreated Flow Sheets for an existing Rectisol plant.
Then worked as a Piping Designer for a Direct Reduction Plant Project for Iscor (a South African Steel Mill), was then transferred to site where I was responsible for erection and commissioning of a Water Treatment Plant.
This five Year full time Engineering College followed by a 3 years practical training allows me to hold the title of Mechanical Engineer Graduated in Austria.
