I have purchased a 240 year old wooden, abandoned, 120 m2 house in my hometown in Austria.
I have changed all flooring, installed partly dry walling or plastered walls. I have pained all the interior walls.
Most of the extensive renovation is now completed and the property is habitable again.

As Site Manager PMC, I was responsible for the Construction Management of Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation (SKADA supplied by Siemens for Oil Pipelines only) for the complete Rehabilitation of a Distribution Station, a Storage Cavern and all the interconnecting Pipelines.
The work included the complete removal of existing foundations and flooring, as well as the installation of new foundations of the Distribution Station.
It further consisted of the below ground installation of 2 x DN 600 & 2 x DN 250 Oil and Flushing Water Pipelines
We used Micro Tunneling below one existing public road.

We have completed two Glycol Re-boiler Skids for Prosernat/Technip/ ADCO NEB project.
We have fabricated 39 Pressure Vessels for Snamprogetti for the ADCO Bu Hasa Project
For my last project however I was seconded to our sister company, GPC to manage the project of refurbishing of an Accommodation Module and placing it on a Jack Up Barge. We also fitted all the associated piping, Safety Equipment, a Bridge Landing, Walkways, a Desalination Plant, Sewerage Treatment Plant, 2 Generator Sets, a Mobile Crane and 2 Winches.
Part of my scope of work was:
• To compile the relevant standards and procedures for timely issuance to our clients
• To coordinate and prepare an overall Base Line Schedule Plan in conjunction with the relevant material delivery dates, within the construction and resources capabilities of our company, based on the contractual delivery dates
• Set Fabrication Mile Stones
• Estimate costs and durations for extras requested by our client.
• Monitor and control the procurement/fabrication progress/cost against the Base Line Schedule
• Prepare and manage Recovery Schedules, caused by unforeseen delays
• Prepare progress reports for Clients as well as our own Top Management

Was extensive involved in the design of a US$ 100 000 000.00 Gas Reformer Project for Mossgas Refinery and was the transferred to site and seconded to ICAL (our Main Mechanical Contractor) as their Contracts Engineer. After 12 month I was called back to Lurgi’s site office and than successfully co-ordinated Ical's piping construction activities. On completion of the construction stage I joined the Commission Team until the end of the project.
In April 1993 I returned to Lurgi’s Head Office in Johannesburg and worked as Piping Design Engineer on an Alkylamine Chemical Plant for Karbochem Newcastle. I was later in charge of the Mechanical and Piping Erection on site.
Thereafter I was seconded for two years to Kendal Power Station as Project Manager for mechanical & piping projects.
After returning to Head Office I worked as Lead Piping Engineer for a Chromic Acid Plant in Newcastle and was later seconded to site as Project Engineer.
