Taking advantage of my extensive hands-on knowledge and experience in Systems Administration and Enterprise level IT support, I began writing tutorials regarding virtualization, enterprise storage solutions and infrastructure monitoring software, among others.
Our department (IT Infrastructure) is responsible for planning, designing, implementing and supporting Virtual and Physical infrastructure environments (Datacenter and Network Operations Center) and managing related project activities.
Other responsibilities:
• Provide technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance monitoring and upgrades for Datacenter Infrastructure, assuring business continuity at all times.
• Developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery and Data Recovery plans to ensure uninterrupted business operations (24x7).
* Infrastructure Resource Optimization and Asset Management
* Pro-actively monitor and analyze the IT infrastructure (Software and hardware maintenance). Adopt preemptive measures to comply Service Level Agreement.
* Administration of Wintel environment (physical & virtual). Software and hardware deployments fulfilling the needs of internal customers.
* Status reports creation through Nagios (preemptive monitoring), VMware vSphere and other performance measurement tools for decision making.
* Administration of virtual infrastructure (VMware v5).
* Datacenter environment (Servers and Storage Area Network) installation, setup, administration and maintenance (HP, IBM & HITACHI).
* Market research, budget guidelines and meeting vendors for hardware & software procurement and other services required for the smooth running of operations.
* Test new software solutions in laboratory environment and deploy Security Audit recommendations (Patching & Hardening) for Operating Systems and applications.

PromoWeb was an ISP (Internet Service Provider) was a small but customer service oriented company. We offered a wide variety of services like Internet advertising, Web Hosting/Design and support.
As a Systems Administrator I was responsible of maintaining the IT infrastructure (Web, MS SQL database, DNS and E-mail servers). In addition, I was in management of a team to address our internal and external end user’s needs.
In this company I had the chance to manage infrastructure migration projects between Datacenters.
