• Perform needed research and analysis as required, for example as a basis for:
- Developing the marketing strategy
- Developing the yearly marketing plan (products, allocation, pricing)
- Allocating products and inventory to individual markets while maximizing profitability
- Making the right pricing/netback decisions by grade and by market
- Assist in products inventory management by reviewing product inventory forecasts, making sure inventories are maintained in normal level, and suggesting lifting changes
- Assist the GBM in coordination with RBM’s for product allocation, shifting, prices.
- Assist the GBM in monitoring the quarterly netback by product to ensure that it is within the agreed netback with plants.
- Monitor markets trends and competitive activities.
- Report marketing performance per product.
• Customer Intimacy:
- Maintain a database of global customer communications and tracking of sales team communications activates.
- Build on such database and report on general trends of the customers.
• Business Development:
- Assure implementation of projects, which are relevant for regional product market/asset cluster.
- Work closely with all RBM’s on new customer’s development
Extra Tasks as Sales Executive:
- Markets monitoring, globally.
- New product discovering and innovation focal point.
- Business planning and pricing.
- BU budgeting.
- Anti-Dumping BU project focal point.
- Discovering new markets, and develop new channels.
- Periodical performance reports, and top management presentations.
- Represent Specialty Polymers BU, in several national and international conferences and workshops.
Responsible for sales under guidance of the Sales Manager
Responsible for his/her own accelerator plan, developed in cooperation with the Sales Manager.
Gradually building up customer relationship.
Develops sales skills with support of external training programs as well as the Sales Manager.
Develops products and application knowledge with support of external training programs and/or experienced colleagues.
a. Sales
• Achieve and exceed sales, profitability and collection targets.
• Establish a quality customer base.
• Closely interact with customers, understand and identify their needs.
• Demonstrate products on site to customers and establish their suitability to customers’ needs.
• Identify, well in advance, upcoming projects.
• Convey customer feedback to appropriate levels of management, especially feedback of technical nature.
• Fully investigate and ascertain credibility of a new customer before appointment. To adhere the prescribed procedures for appointment including completion of “Customer Profile” form.
• Ensure satisfactory level of after sales service.
• Attend promptly to customer complaints and provide satisfactory solutions.
• Clearly understand and adhere to the warranty policy.
Collection
• Communicate credit period and payment terms to customers clearly.
• Assist the debt collector whenever so called upon.
• Ensure completeness of sales documentation, which will be a pre-requisite if a receivable turns doubtful and legal action is required to be taken.
c. Sales Administration
• Initiate steps to procure products required through Central Logistics Coordinator / Regional Sales Manager.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
• Ensure submission of quality certificate / data sheet / product brochures, wherever necessary.
• Ensure submission of invoice and other related documents to customers without delay.
- Managing substantial consumers sales such SABIC and Saudi Aramco.
