• Provides lead direction, training and work review; organizes and assign works, set priorities, and follows up to ensure coordination and completion of assigned work.
• Acts as a resource regarding the unit’s policies and procedures. Resolves complex problems within area of responsibility.
• Ensure that procurement activities are processed in accordance to defined policies and procedures.
• Interface with all levels of management with regards to purchasing and contracts.
• Troubleshoot problems and questions regarding purchasing and contracts processes.
• Identify supplier sources and develop and administer procurement contracts to obtain the optimum value for the College.
• Evaluate and select suppliers and their offers through a request for proposal (RFP) and conduct vendor audits as part of the vendor selection process.
• Monitor vendor and product performance to ensure they continually meet the highest standards.
• Under minimal supervision, performs complex and diverse duties in support of a work area or group of individuals.
• Provides administrative support for multiple programs and projects.
• May function as a high level individual contributor or coordinator of multiple projects.
• Resolves problems requiring information from multiple sources or advanced knowledge.
• Undertakes special projects to meet the objectives of the unit.
• Ensure that procurement activities are processed in accordance to defined policies and procedures.
• Communicate to team and management daily basis the status of all contracts and purchases.
• Identify supplier sources and develop, negotiate and administer procurement contracts to obtain the optimum value for the College.
• Obtains comparative data regarding price, quality, quantity and availability of materials and equipment and place orders as appropriate.
• Monitor vendor and product performance to ensure they continually meet the highest standards.
• Recommends improvements, changes or new policies to improve service and control costs.
• Provide assistance to ensure the day-to-day smooth management and operation of a building's infrastructure through administrative support and, at times, overseeing maintenance tasks.
• Log, analyse and track maintenance requests
• Issue work orders to appropriate tradespeople or maintenance officers
