• Preparing and reviewing structural engineering design, studies, drawings and documents as per American Standards.
• Full structural calculation of RCC slabs, columns, beams, isolated footings, combined and raft foundation.
• Checking and discussion of drawings and calculations with required authorities for approval.
• Participating in design reviews and meetings and take necessary follow-up actions.
• Communicating design requirements and practical construction details clearly in sketch form.
• Coordinating with Architectural, MEP and relevant departments for delivering projects on time.
• Performing construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
• Liaising with clients and design departments for any modifications requested by clients.
• Preparing and reviewing modifications as per client requests and performing all necessary structural calculations.
• Conducting necessary meetings with authorities to discuss and review structural modifications and drawings.

• Responsible for reviewing the design proposals, work program, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, payments, variation orders and claims etc.
• Responsible for day to day on-site management of Contractor activities to ensure works are being carried out according to contractual specifications.
• Liaising between design department, project staff, clients and contractors in resolving project issues.
• Representing Consultant party at project meetings with contractors, clients, and other parties.
• Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and special provisions.
• Ensure monitoring on the quality of materials and workmanships installed, operated and maintained.
• Answering and responding to Requests For Information from contractors and other parties.
• Monitoring work practices on site for compliance with agreed procedures and safe methods of working.
• Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Determining client’s needs and achieve results to meet client’s expectations.

-Read and comprehend structural drawings of buildings.

-Experience in communicating clearly with engineers and workers.

-Hands-on experience in checking the progress and quality of work.

-Experience in calculating amounts of steel reinforcement required in footings, beams, slabs and columns.

-Understand common terminology used by engineers and workers.
