Currently I’m working as a Global Team Lead - Contracts Dept. in INTECH, and responsible for the overall Contracts Management of all incoming and outgoing contract agreements receiving mainly from USA, UAE, KSA, Iraq, Oman, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Angola, Pakistan, including the monitoring of contract performance(s) and compliance, recommending improvements and innovations to oversight of contracts management process, and ensuring contracts accuracy to minimize all possible risks, wherein major includes:
-- Drafting, Reviewing of entire Bidding or Tendering documents including other miscellaneous docs (NDAs, Consortium/JVs, MOUs, MSAs, Partnership/Reseller Agreements, O&M, LOA/LOI etc.) and acutely participating in whole bidding practices. Technical Evaluation and Rate Analysis of received bids and ensuring that received offers are within budgets and compatible with the current market rates.
-- Ensure that all contractual risks have been highlighted, negotiated with Clients/Subcontractors, and escalated to all Project Stakeholders along with mitigation plans at Pre-Award Stage in accordance with Contracts Review Processes & Guidelines to ensure adequate protection of the company.
-- Responsible for maintaining Contract Risk Registers which identify sensitive clauses/areas highlighted during bidding stage for its mitigation plan or contingencies respectively. Also, close correspondence with the Clients to ensure timely clarifications of Contractual as well as Technical Queries (at Pre-Award Stage).
-- Maintaining Contract Risk Registers for ongoing projects, also deliver monthly risk reports to the stakeholders including its mitigation & contingency plan (at Post-Award Stage). This also includes a strong follow-up with Monitoring & Planning Dept. and PMs for risk(s) and its mitigation strategy.
-- Ensure timely drafting and submission of various letters & claims; Non-BOQs Claim, Extension of Time (EOT) Claim, Change/Variation Orders, Price Adjustments, Suspension/Idling, Prolongation, and various other Cost Claims with complete coordination of project team in order to reduce the risk impacts and ensure smooth execution in company’s benefit.
-- Responsible for the management of required Insurances, Bank Guarantees, Bonds, Letter of Credit, Provisional/Final Taking-Over Certificates.
-- Maintain Customer and Vendor Risk Profiles with info. of their standard T&C’s, thus helps in conducting future reviews and setting up negotiation strategy keeping in view of customer/vendor profile and past trends.
-- Ensure all PO’s and Subcontract Agreements being issued to INTECH’s vendors are within the assigned budgets & timelines, and strictly in line with our main customer contract requirements.
-- Ensuring compliance with Company's procedures and Department's Processes, Manuals, SOPs and KPIs.
-- Carry out awareness Sessions or Workshops with INTECH Sales/ Proposal/ OPS Dept. for better understanding and eliminating the knowledge gaps regarding contractual terms, and to develop strategy to negotiate with the Customer/Vendors.
-- Advise and assist Project Teams in handling, preparation, and documentation of Notices / Claims.
-- Training and supervision of subordinates in the Contracts Department.
-- Responsible for drafting & maintaining INTECH’s standard contract templates. Also ensuring that any Lessons Learned on previous executed projects are incorporated.
-- Maintain contractual log and ensure that all contract documents are in the computerized system to keep track and maintain fully record to substantiate the submission of claims timely.

-- Inter-departmental liaison for apt discharge of Bank Guarantees (Performance Guarantee, Mobilization Advance Guarantee, Addendums etc.) and also Follow up on the submission of all required Bank Guarantees, Warranties, Insurance Policies, Letter of Credits (L/C) and other specified documentation and verifies their acceptability to Client.
-- Strong Co-ordination with Planning Department for monitoring and ensuring contract compliance for all ongoing project sites.
-- Formulation of Contractual Letters including the drafting of all contractual correspondences and management including Variation Orders, Acceleration Works (Directed/Instructive and Constructive Accelerations) O & M Contracts and Supplementary Agreements if necessary.
