Job Description:
Managing overall Technical Operations, and PMO (Projects Management office) activities, Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission, support better Projects Management reporting, information flow and management, business processes improvement and organizational planning.
Job Responsibilities:
Operations:
•Participating in preparing annual business plans by forecasting and developing annual operations capacity; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; recommending selling prices; and monitoring and controlling projects costs.
• Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements for each project.
• Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
• Master strategic business process modeling, traceability and quality management techniques.
• Apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
• Managing the Operations Technical teams (Systems and Networks Infrastructure, Information Systems Development, SMS managed services, and VC & Unified communications teams).
•Managing the Purchasing function to ensure material is purchased cost effectively and available for production and operations when required.
•Ensuring compliance with the organization policies and procedures during the operation lifecycle.
PMO - Projects Management Office:
•Manage strategic and governmental projects according to the CMMI, PMI, SDLC standards and methodologies and prepare regular status reports, quality reviews, risk assessments and productivity reports.
•Research, develop, implement and manage industry leading best practices in project management processes and methodologies.
•Provide professional advice, coaching and support to the PMO division on Project Management procedures and standards.
•Prepare an aggregated financial dashboard for all the running projects and detailed P&L statements for each project.
•Planning, scheduling and reviewing workload to ensure operations teams output and on time delivery targets are achieved cost effectively.
•Monitor, control & reports the projects portfolio progress within the agreed schedule from initiation to closure. •Break down the business requirements and establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback. •Identifying possible risks and developing strategies to mitigate such risks. •Develop a master schedule for all the running projects, and make sure that it is effectively allocate the resources to the activities. •Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder’s needs and requirements continuously in view. •Troubleshoot technical issues when the need arises, and escalating appropriately as needed. •Ensure Contract compliance, and manage ongoing contractual and financial arrangements with support from legal and finance.
Information Technology:
Participates in developing annual IT budget; monitors expenditures for appropriate levels and cash flow.
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Teams’ development (ERP, Help desk, Application support, Voice and network infrastructure).
Approve vendors used by the organization and monitors their financial condition, prepare and approve the required IT SLAs.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending.
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Design and install all the Security systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control …).
Manage information technology infrastructure, architecture, systems, networks, software and resources across multiple platforms Linux servers; MS Windows servers, AVAYA Voice infrastructure, CISCO and HP data network infrastructure, Polycom Video conference solution, Oracle e-business suite and in-house built web based applications.
Upgrades the company's telephone system (VOIP) at our call center for about 400 agents to server NTRA and Mobinil gathering data project.
Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
Meets and consults with customers and vendors regarding service delivery needs.
Oversees the administration maintenance of helpdesk tracking software and IT assets management.
Procurement:
Develop and maintain all the Supply Chain policies and procedures according to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Reorganize procurement, materials planning functions to improve workflow processing and internal support.
Continually monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance including the regular use of audit and benchmarking techniques provided by ERP reporting modules.
Optimize the company working capital, by restructure the MRP - raw materials lead times, which reduce the stock, levels by 20% in 2012, and resulted in a reduction of EGP 1.8 M while maintaining superior service to customers.
Manage Procurement budget and expenditure of EGP 48 million per year.
Negotiation of prices, contracts and SLA’s for company consumables and services.
Secure the best possible trading and payment terms with suppliers and maintain a database of supplier agreements.
Develop and maintain the MRP system to manage all materials requirements for the production divisions monthly forecast.
Monitor market conditions and trends for all material purchased and take appropriate actions as required.
Organizes annual surplus auction for providing an efficient process for the district to dispose of obsolete equipment, furnishings and vehicles.
Warehouse & Stock Control:
Monitor the safety stock levels and the planned reordering point.
Manage production scheduling/ordering with our factory and other suppliers to ensure that stock levels match customer requirements within the constraints of working capital affordability and cash budgets.
Selling all the old stagnant and slow moving items in our warehouse.
Manage conflicts related to the delivery and distribution of raw materials and products to the customers.
Supply and Logistics:
Ensure monthly/ weekly follow up on logistics activities.
Monitor logistics’ KPIs and any take the necessary actions for any development needed.
Manage and monitors all the company shipments containers from the port of loading to the port of discharge.
Review all the imported shipments declaration and all the related bank documents.
Review all the invoices sent from our freight forwarding before send it to the finance for payments.
Manage the full cycle between freight forward company and procurement team and stores team for any shipment.
Job Responsibilities and achievements:
Prepare the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the whole network infrastructure (Active/Passive), VOIP, Servers and Storage bidders to build a new intelligent network that meets the new technology; assist in the development and management of associated budgets as well as the whole project management lifecycle responsibilities from preparing and issuing the RFP, bidding technical and financial evaluation until the project closure for the following Ministry’s authorities and companies:
o Egyptian Railways Maintenance & Services Co. "ERMAS"
o River Transport Authority "RTA"
o Egyptian Railways Medical Co. "ERMED"
o Egyptian Authority for Marine Safety "EAMS"
o Egyptian Marine Transport Sector "MTS"
Launching and evaluation the IT projects tenders according to the Law of Tenders and Biddings no# 89/1998.
Handel all IT purchase requests and support contracts at the ministry's office through direct orders or bids and tenders.
Ensure the effective operation of Ministry networks and communications environment, design and implement security, and establish and manage MS windows based network environment.
Managing & Maintaining the VOIP solution system CISCO Call Manager 4.2 as the telephone system for the Ministry containing E1 lines connectivity.
Provide technical estimation of time and effort, and plan task distribution to IT helpdesk team.
Provide, operate, and maintain computing and telecommunications facilities, equipment, and services that meet the needs of the Ministry.
Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
Establish and supervise the operations of the IT helpdesk providing quality and timely support to minister advisors and college employees concerning hardware and software needs.
Supervise the implementation of the ERP - front office applications and content management system.
Implement and maintain RightFax 9.3 as a comprehensive network fax solution for creating, sending, receiving, and managing faxes directly from a user’s desktop computer.
Built Site-to-site MPLS-VPN solution to offer secure data, voice and video communication, with Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees between the ministry and many other government authorities.
Deploy Forefront Enterprise AV solution.
Implement EMC CLARiiON CX4 120 SAN for the high availability, scalability, and flexibility to manage and consolidate the ministry data.
Implement TANDBERG HD video and voice conferencing between the MOT HQ and many other government authorities.
Start working from the planning phase of the IT infrastructure for the whole university campus, define the IT business needs for the campus and providing the technical assessments and the proper solutions that would be so essential for enhancing the work processing in the university, starting from finding the basic solutions for the university Network connectivity up to defining the best ERP solutions for university work process.
Design the whole Network infrastructure for the laboratory building (more than 650 workstation in 6 labs and about 1200 clients) and supervising the installation of the network servers for the Computer Science labs and configuring the labs domain and print server and other application servers that been required to provide the full IT support for the Academics and the Students for their activities.
Managing the Help Desk activities for the university and participating in supporting many of the network problems.
Participating in Designing and supervising the implementing the whole network infrastructure for the university campus from Supervising the Cabling operations for the whole campus/Establish and manage windows based network environment.
