•Lead the Administrative Support function at PI towards achieving excellence by collaborating with faculty, staff and students appropriately to understand and meet their needs by providing world class responsive support services and solutions.
•Ensure compliance with relevant Local and International regulatory and legal requirements.
•Work effectively with Department Heads to provide leadership in PI’s strategic planning and budget development in regard to Human Resources, Supply Chain, Public Relations, IT, Facilities Management and Campus Security so as to support high quality teaching, research and student experience in a vibrant University community in accordance with PI’s overall mission, vision and strategic objectives.
•In collaboration with Department Managers, lead the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures related to the Administration Support Division and ensure they are understood and implemented.
•Provide strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient administrative solutions. Ensure that practices, policies and programs are aligned with best practices and relevant regulations.
•Ensure the timely development of appropriate reports and recommendations to improve PI administrative services and strategy implementation.
•Coordinate the preparation and presentation of the Financial Committee (FINCO) budget for approval, and ensure that variances between approved budget and actual expenditure are accounted for.
•Oversee the development and implementation of a stable and reliable IT system infrastructure, data safety and security and the provision accessible support and advice for all IT-related issues.
•Oversee the development of appropriate PR and media approaches in reaching out to the public. Help engage and build relationships with a wide range of high level/high profile contacts within and outside the University to promote PI and develop a holistic understanding of the latest developments in the local, regional and international environment and how these can be supported by PI.
•Supervise facilities management and services for PI’s different facilities, housing, transportation and catering services so that high quality services are provided cost effectively and user safety and security is ensured. Ensure that all users of PI facilities have a safe, secure and hygienic environment.
•Oversee construction projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with PI’s business objectives and requirements.
•Provide strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient supply chain solutions required for PI to achieve its strategic objectives. Provide executive support in the areas of commercial strategy development, tendering, contractor/supplier selection, contract and material management, and supplier/contractor performance management.
•Keep abreast of latest operating models and market trends relating to Administrative Support functions; identify their feasibility in the PI context and where appropriate, develop and deploy a customized model to best suit PI needs in consultation with faculty and staff.
•Ensure effective evaluation and quality assurance strategies and timely implementation of developmental and corrective actions as identified.
•Perform other tasks and duties that may be from time to time required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.

•Contribute to the formulation of university administration support strategy and policy, working with SVP Administration Support to act in the best interest of the university.
•Articulate and advocate a vision for the continuing operations and future of the Supply Chain Department.
•Plan, organize and direct the Supply Chain activities in terms of commercial planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing and contracts, to ensure that they comply with PI standards, policies, and procedures and make use of the most effective new Supply Chain technologies and methods.

•Manage financial and staffing budgets for the Supply Chain Department by forecasting requirements and deploying resources effectively.
•Lead the design, development and implementation of the Supply Chain practices, policies, and procedures, and ensure that they are aligned with best practices.
•Monitor the Supply Chain Department's performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/corrective actions are taken when necessary.
•Lead and provide direction for negotiations with suppliers/contractors regarding financial and contractual issues.
•Provide executive support in the areas of commercial strategy development, tendering, contractor/supplier selection, contract and material management, and supplier/contractor performance management.
•Direct and oversee all activities related to logistics, warehousing and inventory management to ensure timely supply of all PI requirements.
•Direct and oversee the PI’s contracts and agreements related to supply chain to ensure achieving the best interest for PI.
•Oversee the development of supply chain related reports and statistics when required.
•Review, approve and sign all bidder lists, order submissions, service orders, PO and contracts.
•Ensure staff training needs are identified and that appropriate training is provided in a timely manner.
•Perform other tasks and duties that may be from time to time required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.
•Coordinates with ADNOC and other group companies for collaboration projects.
•Manages all of the contracts and procurement processes, and ensures full compliance with the Institute’s commercial guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Heading Procurement & Logistics IT & Telecom Purchasing Section. My degree was in Business Information Technology. I completed Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply “CIPS” courses & IATA Senior Diploma in Airline Management with distinction. In addition to that I have completed other leadership and business management courses.
•Responsible for the developing and implementing strategies for procurement, contracts management and vendor management. To achieve the lowest total cost of purchase/ownership and optimum terms & conditions in accordance with best procurement techniques. For example my last year’s 2010-2011 total saving was AED 235 million, one third of total Procurement & Logistics saving in Emirates group.
•My job included issuing of tenders; direct supplier negotiations; preparation and evaluation of options available; critical assessment of business risk associated with options and different scenarios in order to develop the best negotiating strategies; preparation of written contracts and administration of all contracts.
•Managing a team of procurement managers & specialists to ensure that customer department activities are efficiently supported by Procurement while ensuring that the best commercial interests of the organization are served.
•Managing full contract negotiation process for all contracts. These includes negotiations with Suppliers, Government Authorities and any other third parties as appropriate.
•Contract management including writing of contracts (in liaison with Legal, Insurance, Finance and Customer Departments), communication with potential suppliers, post contract reviews etc. This includes development and adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliers and other stakeholders where relevant.
•Developing and maintaining a work programme of contracts due for negotiation, including pro-active identification of any opportunities for cost improvement.
•Managing all the requirements and the concerns of Customer Departments at all times to ensure that the Customer Department is fully involved in the procurement process. The successful development with these relationships at ESVP, DSVP, SVP, VP levels are crucial to ensure efficient and effective supplier selection.
•Seeking continuous improvement of the procurement process and procedures to ensure Emirates is at leading edge of industry practices.
•Proactively search for and identify opportunities for cost reduction wherever possible. Benchmark the performance of their sections against available statistics/indicators and identify areas for improvement. This including knowledge of technical advances, market developments and other relevant changes in the supply market.
Achievements:
•Negotiated reduced prices with vendors, resulting in AED 235 Million savings.
•Sourced products internationally.
•Developed new internal P&L Processes & Procedures and signed Service Level Agreements with internal customers & business entities, to improve Procurement & Logistics Services. Developed intensive experience in different Supply Chain Management activities & contracts.
•Developed Dubai Entrepreneurs Academy Portal for Dubai Government.
