My job is kind of a supervisory and a monitoring role at the CEO office that enables me to have a helicopter view at the company, and interfere in time to prevent or rectify a mishap in operation.
This activity depends largely on the ability to Audit the Operation, identify Gaps based on a system built on an organization-wide knowledge,
The above is directly interlinked with the assessment of departmental performance based on previously identified KPI's.
Part of my current responsibilities are of PMO functions such as:
1. Manages and develops the company’s Internal Audit function, implementing policies, procedures and systems to appraise and report on the company’s system of internal controls.
2. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
3. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
4. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget and as per the Objectives of the project
5. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
6. Prepares project reports for management,
7. Prepares a structured audit plan as part of my Auditing activities to ensure audit coverage of all the company’s activities over an annual cycle, including setting time frames and identifying resources required and audit objectives.
8. Accurately manage resources allocation (. prioritise work so resources are devoted to areas of highest risk at the project.
9. Ensures that the operations of the company are in compliance with the local Commercial Law and other rules and regulations applicable to the company.
Other responsibilities are to:
* promote quality achievement and performance improvement through the organization and identify proactive measures
Overall Quality system management in Organization, including mapping processes, keeping the documents, auditing and presenting results to the management. Establishing KPI's and KQI's, monitoring and analysing the performance.
My work in ICQ was a consultancy job to review and maintain existing QMS systems as per the ISO 9001 standards, as well as to estabilsh QMS for a diversity of companies from scratch.
These companies included logistics companies, construction, consultancy, IT, Petrol and Gas..etc to name a few. Projects with the team tackled more private and public businesses such as Insurance, Electricity provider, Water services, ..etc.
The above experience enabled me to be able to understand and evaluate the gaps/deficiencies in any business, as well as to be able to prescribe the necessary to bring it back to track.
To further add to my knowledge, the Auditing skills I have acquired whilst working with professional Lead Auditors from reputable firms such as BSI, have enabled me to complete the picture for the recipe of a successful business, regardless of its nature.
