• establishing networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards;
• the design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment;
• maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation;
• undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources;
• securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access;
• the support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy;
• updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations;
• reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritising information and managing projects;
• upgrading data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases;
• configuration of routing and switching equipment;
• configuration of hosted IP voice services;
• basic configuration of firewalls;
• remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation;
• remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;
• capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centres;
• liaising with project management team, 3rd line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis;
• speaking with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture
erform duties in the absence of the MIS Manager. Assist the MIS Manager with administrative and technical functions. Responsible for maintaining servers and workstations as requested by the MIS Manager Perform system diagnosis, repair and updates to ensure data integrity; and reliability of automated tasks. Assist with diagnosing and resolving problems with printers, copiers, fax machines and networks. Provide help-desk and on-site technical support of hardware and software. Interface with users to identify computer related needs and provide appropriate software/hardware support applicable to those needs. Ensure the anti-virus software is always up to date and share necessary information with users regarding potential risks. Track and maintain accurate inventory of all of GFC computing equipment. Monitor order and distribute computer supplies. Provide instruction to staff on the use of computer applications and systems. Generate reports as requested by the MIS Manager. Ensure routine backups are performed as outlined by the Backup & Restore Manual. Assist in maintaining and updating of GFC web site and intranet. Any other duties as requested by the MIS Manager. Remote support to different offices by using Remote tools, Management of user accounts, Installing, Configuration, Troubleshooting and Maintenance of LAN, Installing, configuring and troubleshooting DNS & DHCP in a Windows all versions Network infrastructure, Installing software, trouble shooting various brands of Desktops and Laptops, Installation, Trouble shooting of TCP/IP network window 7, window XP. Database Management updating and backup knowledge.
Resbonsible about day to day maintenance Engineer in long distance transmission network our main duty is take the trouble ticket and PMR and PAT but the most important things is TT because its include the system malfunction it will give you the details with all system failure and the node location also PMR weekly its aweekly routine we should do it in all site in Riyadh City inside all the exchange and Cabient .also we support Fiber team when there is any cut of fiber cable
