• Create and manage the yearly IT recurrent and project budgets in an efficient manner.
• Contribute to the bureau’s reduction of operational cost by automating processes, managing IT expenditure and optimizing usage of existing infrastructure.
• Create the Information Technology Strategy Plan and continuously monitor its progress and its alignment with the business strategy.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for IT procurement, system development, IT infrastructure, maintenance and support services and oversee the work of independent contractors and consultants.
• Managed and implemented several e-services including an e-service enabling property owners or their proxies to request survey certificates online which are a mandatory requirement for building permits in Bahrain.
• Designed and implemented the Property Registration System which is the core business system to register properties in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the system is an end to end solution.
• Designed and implemented the Bahrain Tide Network which is a system that connect multiple sensors in Bahrain’s territorial waters, the network monitors the tide levels and air temperatures.
• Established an e-store to sell mapping products of the bureau.
• Implemented a Resource Booking Systems to allow surveyors to book vehicles and survey equipment and managed the handling of those resources.
• Implemented a dashboard for the decision makers to monitor daily transactions and view life statistics about the daily, monthly and yearly transactions.
• Implemented ISO 27001 in the organization in which to secure the IT infrastructure from internal and external threats and continuously hold the certification through monitoring the implemented security policy and procedures, maintained it since 2007.
• Designed and Implemented an ERP solution to manage the financial and human resources of the organization.
• Designed and Implemented a RFID System for tracking files across the organization and ensuring that they follow official workflow of the organization.
• Implemented a correspondence and document management solution on Microsoft SharePoint platform to ensure effective communication across the organization and to track work performance of various departments and individuals across the organization.
• Implemented access control, attendance and a camera security system for the bureau.
• Planned and developed the bureau’s internet website to act as information portal about the bureau and its services, continuously keeping the site updated at all times, collaborating with eGovernment Authority to host SLRB's services in the government internet portal.
• Established a service desk using ITIL guidelines, gathering all IT assets and instated a proper helpdesk system, created its work escalation rules and established levels of service.
• Have managed the entire IT infrastructure team of the Bureau that has created, maintained, upgraded and troubleshoot network, server and database problems and ensured maximum efficiency of their operation.
• Implemented a Tier 1 data center for the bureau with a DR site.
• Established the IT Security Policy for the Bureau and oversee the adherence to it to ensure the security of the bureau’s data from internal and external threats.
• Researched, selected and implemented various IT solutions, hardware and software for the bureau’s departments and enhanced and improved existing ones based on business requirements.
• Established a contingency (disaster recovery) plan for the information systems of the bureau to ensure continuous operation at all times and to safeguard the bureau's investments and have implemented a SAN solution with a disaster recovery site.
• Established communication and collaboration channels with other government and private organizations regarding all IT issues of the bureau such as the Central Informatics Organization, Ministry of Finance, Civil Service Bureau, eGovernmnet Authority, Tender Board, among others.
