IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW CORE BANKING SYSTEM

 Migration / Testing and Implementation of new CBS replacing the current CBS.
 To Perform and analyze SIT, UAT1, UAT2 and UAT3 of different modules and Applications.
 Administration of TAFJ R14 Temenos T24 Core banking System.
 Resetting / Managing WAS (middleware) Profile.
 Taking / Restoring DB Backups.
 Running of COB and its Administration.
 Executing commands in DBTools in SQL and JQL mode
 Resolving Issues with Project Managers w.r.t. COB and its Management.
 Deploying BCONS, Jars and T24 Updates in Core Banking System
 Monitoring and Fine Tuning of System Profile and its Impact during COB Execution.

Additional responsibilities with current Core Banking System

 To provide systems related day to day services to the Bank and the staff members, with adequate information and related reports.
 To perform Administrative and monitoring functions related to AS/400 System, Equation Core Banking system, Postilion ATM Transactions and Proview ATM Monitoring systems, CTL/PRIME and Online Issuer Credit Card Management Systems.
 To ensure that day to day schedule jobs in the computer room are processed in a timely, secure and effective manner.
 To ensure that Equation EOD runs smoothly and efficiently. All EOD processes including report generation, backup and recovery procedures are executed carefully and effectively without errors and also the on line system is made available to the users on time.
 Monitor Applications, Batch Jobs, ATMS Network, and Database performance and conduct periodical systems performance tests and take appropriate corrective measures where necessary including vendor’s liaison and maintenance of log and control sheets.
 Ensuring that smooth functioning of the ATMS and the transactions are taking place without any problem by constant monitoring of all SIB ATMS activities using the Postilion / Proview systems and the proper action is taken to the problems reported by the ATM custodians and customers regarding the ATMS.
 Co-ordinate, administer the scheduling, processing and testing of the jobs, patches/fixes and new procedures supplied (or) developed for Electronic Banking, Host Applications and related Hardware platforms.
 To ensure that there are no systems downtime due to mismanagement or slowness in rectifying system problems
 Execute at scheduled intervals Housekeeping and regular jobs such as Backups, File Reorganization, Archives, Restore and Recovery of Databases.
 Co-ordinate with and provide quality based assistance to users so that systems and services are used properly and effectively.
 Report systems and applications problems to the IT Support team and to concerned areas.
 System & Application ownership within Data center including administration, monitoring, Backups, performing house keeping tasks, etc for the following specified systems.

 a) AS/400 System - Equation
 b) SQL Server - BEAM application
 c) DB2 Server - TI Application
 d) Linux /Oracle server - PRIME application
 e) Linux /Oracle server - Online application
 f) Win.2003/SQL server - Postillion
 g) Win.2000/SQL server - SMS system
 h) Win. Server - SWIFT system

 Applying all patches fixes related to PRIME/CTL application
 Applying any patches related to POSTILION application
 Configuring new ATM’s in Postillion and Proview systems
 Maintaining Bins/tables in Postillion application as & when Central Bank request to Update or Add.
 To prepare DC operational manuals, policy & procedures for optimization and best practices

Temenos T24/ IT Operations/ COB Management:
 Providing T24 and AIX support.
 Reset TCServer / Stop Start MQ
 Applying PATCHES on T24 environments
 DL Uploading
 COB (Close of Business issues) troubleshooting includes Year End, Month End & Daily COB Support & COB Optimization.
 Monitoring of All the T24 Critical Services including TSM Services.
 Responsible for scheduled and Adhoc backups and keeping track of backups as per the retention policy
 T24 Test Environment Support
 T24 Backup Management & Restoration
 Maintain Primary and Disaster Recovery sites, knowledge of DR Plan and DR Data integrity

IBM P770/P590 / AIX/UNIX/LINUX:
 Coordination with IBM to improve services and maintain lower downtimes.
 AIX servers (IBM-P770 + P590) monitoring.
 Managing IBM Linear Tape-Open (LTO) Tape Library TS3310.
 Taking Mksysb backups of live servers and RMAN backup for FinnOne
 Installing, configuring, patching, tuning & OS Hardening of IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1 on new servers. Troubleshooting of existing servers.
 Knowledge of IBM system storage V700 Storevise, DS4000 (FAST) Storage Manager and DS4800 System Storage / Array for RAID 0 and RAID 5
 Coordinating with vendors in order to solve any administration or configurations issues in Data centre.
 Managing Logical Volumes & File Systems, resizing File System online using SMITTY. Creating File systems
 On database and Application Servers and manage the size of these File systems.
 Data transfer from one sever to another using Scp, cp, ftp, mv commands.

DATA MIGRATION OF MISYS from T24
 Data Migration and Implementation of MISYS from T24 for Treasury Operations.
 Project Coordination with MISYS international consultants and HCL to resolve the issues in UATs before implementing Live.
 Implementation of Trade Innovation for centralized trade processing
 Part of Misys GO-LIVE Team
 Running of Misys EOD and Resolution of day to day issues regarding Treasury Operations

FINNONE Application Support & Project Coordination:
 Execution Finnone LIVE + UAT EOD/BOD
 Generation of MIS and Execution of Collections BOD
 Execution of ADC settlement, ADC MIS, DFI LMS, LMS EOD, JOLT and Bridge
 Generating OFSA and DW Extracts
 Generating and Extraction of Operations, P/L, G/L reports on daily basis
 Generating ECIB (for State Bank of Pakistan) and Finnone Reconciliations reports on monthly basis

Project Coordination/Documentation:
 Coordination with T24 online support regarding LIVE COB Issues
 As a part of EOD team took part in implementing IBAN, Internet Banking, ROSO, Debit Card, T24 IIg
Database upgradation.
 Developing System Administration Documentation, Daily Operational Procedures/Checklist.

Core Banking Application:

 Giving Core Banking Application support to over 60 branch network
 Creation/Deletion/Enhancements in IDs of Core Banking Application
 Keeping track of all files and paperwork up-to date for Audit purpose
 Performing UATs of different enhancements in modules requested by the user
 Uploading of updated .exe files on the branch servers after successful UAT
 Perform daily Bank End of Day and Start of Day activity with database backups.
 Maintain the report before starting end of day activity enclose branch vault closing, batch equality, clearing and over all cash received and paid status
 Perform End of day activity at host server end i.e. CRM, AML creation and switch file extraction.
 Transactions reconciliation of branches from different delivery channels report in AIB.

Management Information System:
 Daily backup activity plus its restoration on MIS database server, data extraction to generate different end users request and some daily basis reports through AutoMIS application with their uploading on MIS web portal.
 Daily database backup making from different remote servers to burn them on CD/DVD for offsite.

Anti Money Laundering:
 AML error rectification from log files to upload the data with their modules execution through XM3 application.
 Different Reports retrieving from transactions reports sections and spooler through core banking application and throw them on all branches servers through .bat file on daily basis.
