Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is significantly changing today's medicine and improving patient's healthcare. At TECAN, we provide automation solutions covering the whole NGS workflow, from nucleic acids purification to quantification/normalization/pooling and NGS library preparation.
As a Sales development Specialist, I am involved in growing and expanding the Genomics and NGS automation business in Europe. Acting with a problem-solving approach, my main responsibilities are:
- Pre-Sales support: using my academic and scientific expertise in Genomics and NGS, I visit customers together with territorial sales specialists to better understand their needs and offer the best solution accordingly.
- After-sales support: helping our customers to use at best our solutions, achieve their goals in a way to exceed their expectations
- Growing sales force knowledge and expertise by regular training, webinars...etc
- Competition analysis and developing how to win strategies
- Market analysis and segmentation
- Customer segmentation and identifying new potential customers to prospect
- Monthly KPIs analysis, identifying challenges and coordinating actions with sales forces to overcome challenges and how the business
- Presenting TECAN solutions in international seminars
Still working on Cancer Research of the Gastrointestinal tract, my main research activity in this position concerned the whole process of Esophageal transformation:
1- Identification of biomarkers for Barrett's diagnosis (a pre-malignant stage of Esophageal Adenocarcinoma) using the innovative and disruptive diagnostic tool: The Cytosponge™.
2- Risk stratification of patients with Barrett's Dysplasia in order to include them into a surveillance program and treat them before cancer occur.
3- As part of the International Caner Genome Consortium Project, using multi-platform Next generation Sequencing, characterization of common altered pathways in Esophageal Adenocarcinoma tumors and treatment-based subclassifications of patients according to their genetic profile and signatures.
4- Managing activity of a group of Master's and PhDs students and technicians
