• Preparing monthly MIS reports containing financial statements, detailed cost and profitability analysis, comparative profitability analysis, revenue trend analysis, cashflow analysis, variance analysis, KPI’s analysis etc. for different projects (for construction sector), products (for manufacturing sector) and outlets (for F&B sector).
• Managing monthly closing by ensuring appropriate reconciliation of fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payables, inventory etc. with GL module while at the same time ensuring accuracy of month end adjustments.
• Prioritizing and approving the payments to vendors, developing company’s finance policies and procedures and ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders.
• Managing the team of accountants in centralized accounting department, reviewing their work-related queries and ensuring the compliance of team’s work with company’s finance policies and procedures.
• Responsible for controlling VAT return filling for whole group by performing necessary reconciliation of input and output tax while ensuring the compliance with UAE VAT law and other directives issued by FTA.
• Preparing detailed cashflow projections and other statements in-order to facilitate the financing arrangement for new projects while managing all the existing financing arrangements with the bank.
• Evaluating internal control systems, identifying control deficiency, duplication, fraud or non-compliance with laws and making appropriate recommendations to the management.
• Responsible for management and control of yearly external audit with Ernst & Young (EY) and dealing with ERP consultants for effective ERP implementation of financial modules in all group companies.

• Preparing periodic financial statements (individual and consolidated) of all group companies in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Preparing monthly management reports containing cash flow projections, aging analysis of debtors and creditors, breakeven trend, variance analysis of revenue and expenses, product wise margin analysis, trend analysis of profits with past periods, KPIs of ongoing projects etc.
• Making monthly closing of all group companies by ensuring that all month end adjustments (accruals, pre- payments, payroll, bank reconciliations, invoicing, depreciation etc.) have been accounted for properly and reconciling GL module with AR, AP, inventory, revenue and fixed asset module of ERP.
• Participating in periodic budget preparation activities by giving inputs in terms of identified variances in past, cost cutting suggestions and new plans / improvements that would impact future costs and revenue.
• Analytical evaluation of financial performance of all group companies by using different ratios and tools like ROCE, GP ratio, NP ratio, current ratio, inventory turnover ratio, accounts receivable turnover ratio, NPV, IRR etc.
• Responsible for controlling team of accountants and effective management of company’s working capital (receivables, payables, inventory, cash and banks etc.) at group level.
• Analyzing projects wise costing reports for potential variances, controlling project’s progressive invoicing and preparing feasibility reports to evaluate new projects / opportunities.
• Evaluating internal control systems, identifying control deficiency, duplication, fraud or non-compliance with policies and making appropriate recommendations to the management.
• Dealing with external auditors for periodic audit activities, coordinating with bankers for financing arrangements and working with ERP experts for implementation and enhancement of different financial modules of ERP.
• Responsible for managing and controlling implementation of VAT in ERP in accordance with the provisions and rules of UAE’s VAT law and other directives issued by FTA.

• Statutory audits which include analysis and reviews of financial statements including cash flow statements of various industry clients. Scope of work included ensuring compliance with management policies, identification of weaknesses in the system for potential risks and examining financial statements to ensure compliance with National and International Reporting Frameworks, primarily comprising of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Compilation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Companies Ordinance 1984 (Corporate laws) while assessing and verifying various areas of financial statements such as employee benefits, taxation, foreign currency transactions, sales, purchases, account receivables, account payables, fixed assets, long term loans etc.

• Assisting clients in complex accounting matters in accordance with IFRS, supervising outsourced accounting function of different clients, monitoring implementation of different financial modules of ERP like accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset, inventory, production module etc. while ensuring customization in accordance with client’s requirement and appropriate reconciliation and recording of transactions during transition phase of ERP implementation.
• Providing consultancy to clients regarding registration procedure, scope and payment of tax, input and output tax adjustment etc. as per the provisions of Sales Tax Act 1990, Sales Tax Rules 2006 and Value added Tax Rules.
• Filling of income tax and sales tax returns on behalf of different clients after making necessary calculations and adjustments as per applicable laws and have been involved in various taxation assignments i.e. identification of legal implications in claiming / adjustments of tax refunds, representing the clients in tax authorities and tribunals etc.
