Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the organization.
* Standardizing procurement policies and procedures in collaboration with top management.
* Managing and monitoring the issuance of bids and tenders for a wide range of inventory such as: medication, medical
equipment, medical supplies, lab equipment, and general supplies, stationary, IT (hardware and software), and
engineering projects.
* Evaluating bids and proposing recommendations based on commercial and technical factors in collaboration with the
purchase committee, end users, and technical experts.
* Devising and applying sourcing strategies based on SRM methodologies, tactical vs strategic purchasing.
* Initiating and deploying contracts for maintenance, preventive maintenance, insurance and outsourcing.
* Responsible for discovering profitable suppliers, and initiate business and organization partnerships
* Controlling and reducing expenses by applying best practices in procurement, and spending on budget alongside setting
favorable payment and contracting terms.
* Set the department’s KPIs and reorganized departmental hierarchy based on results.
* Giving the final approval on purchase orders after they have been ran through the procurement policies and procedures
in the organization.
* Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
* Coordinating closely with the finance team to ensure appropriate cash flow levels.
Key achievements:
* Enhanced the organization’s purchasing strategy by developing appropriate purchasing policies and procedures based on
the strategic sourcing matrix (criticality vs complexity) that ensured both effectiveness and efficiency in the supply chain.
* Reduced capital expenditure by moving to capital leasing against consumables by building strategic partnerships with
selectively chosen suppliers.
* Controlled and reduced expenses by up to %60 on commodities and up to %25 on strategic items, while applying best
practices in procurement and spending on budget, and setting favorable payment and contracting terms.
* Successfully building a resilient supply chain: Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic collapse of Lebanon in
2020 and up to %80 hyperinflation in the national currency and the Beirut sea port explosion, we were able to stay on
budget and continued supplying our hospital with all needs.
* Achieved organizational re-structuring within procurement department after carefully evaluating work load (by purchases
amount), talents and KPIs.
* Successful transformation from forecast driven planning to demand driven planning which boosted our cash flow levels
and decreased total cost of ownership.

* Successfully initiated the procurement division by hiring staff and setting the policies and procedures.
* Commenced the international procurement policy by buying directly from manufacturers which amplified our price
reductions.
