Providing services to survivors of violence with a supportive environment in which they are respected and treated with dignity, with a survivor-centred approach where survivors participate, their best interest rights needs and the wishes of survivors.
Providing legal advice to survivors of violence regarding potential avenues for legal response
Providing legal assistance including the right to refuse legal assistance at any time before or - depending on the type of crime committed - during the legal proceedings
Pleading before the Sharia and regular courts in the Gaza Strip and following up on cases with law enforcement bodies to ensure that the rights of survivors are promoted and protected at all stages of the legal process.
Coordinating with legal clinics and legal authorities whenever necessary
Continuously update the Protection Specialist Team Leader on the status of survivors and connect the survivor to case managers for ongoing psychosocial support or referral to additional services.
Monitor general security risks for survivors of violence as a result of pursuing legal procedures; Ensure the survivor is protected from any risk of further offenses that may be caused by the alleged perpetrator and link the survivor to psychosocial support interventions to provide appropriate response/referral to ensure the survivor's security needs and concerns are addressed.
Conducting various training courses for different groups in society on national and international law and their relationship to human rights
Disseminating legal information (legal aid clinics) or any other targeted legal activity to raise awareness about preventing and responding to violent incidents
Follow up and follow up on all cases referred to the courts using the tracking system
Contribute to the development of the formulation and updating of legal guidelines and training materials on violence in relation to national and/or international law
Store data in a state of proper and secure legal documentation, taking into account data protection and confidentiality; Maintain confidentiality regarding customer information at all times
Track indicators and analyze data on legal access to legal advice including where legal action was not pursued or was pursued but subsequently failed
Prepare and submit quarterly, annual, monthly and quality reports in a timely manner
Liaise and coordinate with other service providers to ensure an integrated approach to reaching judges.
