• Actively manage and evaluate the assigned projects through planning, resource allocation, and continuously monitoring project objectives and progress
• As part of the management team, contribute to the strategy, proposal development, program design and decision making
• Oversee, monitor, manage and report on the projects progress and activities in line with proposal, log-frame and budget defined objectives and timeframe
• Thorough focus on system strengthening, development of SOPs and training materials, capacity building, training, coordination
• Manage and train health staff to meet Medair internal and international guidelines and quality standards in humanitarian service delivery
• Manage, hire, and evaluate team members effectively leading to outstanding team performance, particularly under challenging COVID-19 conditions
• Ensure successful beneficiary participation and feedback
• Continuous involvement of sector response through active engagement of stakeholders
• Forecast, plan, and contribute to the development of new and winning health project proposals
• Closely monitor the various resources and supplies of the health projects and ensure appropriate allocation
• Provide technical support to national staff for the implementation of high-quality services in all health projects including community health and cash for health projects
• Oversee, devise and report on monitoring and evaluation activities with consideration to project logframe and objectives
• Represent Medair in meetings with stakeholders on national level whether government or sector. Chairing and co-chairing few health sector working groups.
• Arrange and accompany donor visits to beneficiaries while professionally and accurately report on program details
• Periodically provide feedback on the quality and progress of the running programs using Medair approved templates
• Provide technical health expertise in the absence of in-country health advisor - including being part of national COVID-19 response plan, revising proposals and reports
• Represent Medair in discussions with Global Health Cluster, Cash Learning and Partnership, external academic presentations, and the UNOCHA proposals technical review committee.
• Direct coordination and wide network within MoH. Deep understanding of coordination processes and SOP within MoH
• Actively engage in financial audits procedures
• Work closely with a research team at Johns Hopkins university which focuses on measuring the impact of cash for health and community health interventions on Non-communicable diseases patients.
• Successfully manage community health and cash for health projects ensuring the meeting of the project objectives within budget and time frame
• Actively monitor and supervise community health and cash for health activities in the assigned projects, evaluating progress through outputs and impacts
• Provide useful and usable input into the integration of beneficiary participation and accountability
• Contribute to timely report on the projects progress
• Support the development of new and winning proposals, linked to the assessed needs and gaps based on Medairs’ country strategy
• Effectively line-manage six health staff and provide technical support and coaching to ensure high quality of health services in line with national and international guidelines, leading to successful delivery of the assigned projects
• Coordinate to ensure good cooperation and partnerships with partners (e.g. CBO and hospitals), and other relevant stakeholders (such as beneficiaries, community leaders, local and national government officials, UN agencies and other NGOs)
• Successfully assuming the duties of the Health Project Manager during absence
• Manage logistic issues related to the health projects to guarantee a proper usage of the available supplies and resources
• Responsible for measuring the impact of the program deliverables and satisfaction of beneficiaries and stakeholders
• Design budget and allocation for each program activity and managing of expenditure
• Worked on concept note and development of proposal to include project activities, budgets, staffing, indicators and log frame, in addition to working on developing work plan according to activities and indicators
• Implementation of program activities
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines, budget and indicators and communicating with all stakeholders involved in the program. In addition to reporting on budget, expenditure, program activities and outcomes
• Line-manage and capacity build the project staff
• Close follow-up with beneficiaries in terms of compliance and satisfaction
