I Interned at Medis Civil Engineering company for my internship course for two months, which is
a consulting company providing its consulting services primarily to construction companies oversees, specifically in France. I worked alongside the HR manager as well as the general manager in a supporting role where I was given the chance to attend different staff meetings and watch firsthand the hassle that goes into the recruitment process, as well as observe different departments and how they support each other. It’s purely online and relies on virtual connections, giving space to enhance my communication skills, especially concerning language barriers.
Participated in Entrepreneurs of the Future (EOF) integration bootcamp where I was part of a group of strangers, where we were given the task of planning then preparing a business idea according to a predetermined theme from the EOF judges. That year the theme was ‘Water Scarcity’ and we scored second place in the competition. • Wrote a report, alongside two teammates, for the Society and Diversity research problem in the MENA region. We explored the inequality of public spending among Tunisian regions and thoroughly analyzed and researched different elements relating to the matter. Started a small business, alongside a teammate, for my ‘Entrepreneurial Culture’ course. We were given a challenge of taking ten Tunisian dinars and figuring out how to profit from them, from which we started a small marketing services company (AdHyper) that managed to collaborate with three small, local businesses. • Wrote a research report, alongside a group, for my ‘Analytical Techniques in Business’, where we were given the task of tackling a taboo subject (Eating Disorders and Diet Culture in Tunisia) and conducting a real life research around it, using surveys, interviews, forms...etc. • Wrote a case study report, alongside a group, for my ‘Consultancy Project’ course where we were given the opportunity to work in cross-border virtual teams in partnership with international students from The Institute of International Business at Georgia State University, located in Atlanta U.S.A. Our project dealt with identifying and analyzing different business opportunities in Africa and from it write a Business Case Study. • Participated in multiple simulations held by TIMUN MSB for International Human Rights, such as ‘Minimum Wage for Women Doing Low-Cost Work’, ‘Health Risks of Female Genital Mutilation’ and ‘Ensuring Food and Security in Conflict Zones’. • Participated in a 10 round business game revolving around understanding business operations in a competitive environment with the use of a real business simulation platform, where different teams acted as company managers for a pharmaceutical industry with a task of maximizing profit and quickly adapting to different market situations.
