Duties
- Analysis and Design of GIS Data software/hardware, personal, and team training programs.
- Coordinates between NARSS divisions to Migrate the different spatial data products to centralized Enterprise Geodatabase and applyin metadata rules on it
-Represent NARSS to introduce technical consultations to MCIT EGN Team.
- Responsible for configuration, tuning, and maintenance of windows platform clustering (Oracle - ArcSDE - ArcIMS Spatial Server), including database development, implementation, management, backup-restore operations, performance tuning with HP SAN storage, and support for users loading data.

Project of the capacity building for NARSS and EMRA (Egyptian Mineral Resource Authority) 1997-2006 for the sustainable development for the EGYPT North western Desert, South valley, Sinai and Coastal areas. In cooperation with the UNDP and UNESCO Arab regional office at Cairo.
Project Main Goals:
-The sustainable development and land areas require of the project areas.
-Produce detailed maps with 1:250, 000 scale, data, information and Geo-Environmental resources((LandSat Atlas, Geological Atlas, climatologically Atlas, else ….).
-Produce high quality Atlases for all Geo-Environmental resources -Produce a validated digital form maps to project products.
-Development of Digital Geo-Environmental Database and GIS applications for the project areas.
Work Duties:
- Establishing Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse system architecture for the project offices at NARSS and EMRA. Determining requirements, and detailed design methodologies.
- Migration of the project geographic data products to GeoDatabase using ArcSDE for ORACLE server RDBMS, running on Sun Solaris server.
- Responsible for configuration, tuning, and maintenance of ArcSDE, including database development, implementation, management, backups, performance tuning and support for users loading data.
- Performing DBA work to the Oracle Database, including installation, configuration, tuning, management and maintenance. Responsible for backup-restore operations and support for users.
- Incorporate the capability to analyzes/design, install, maintenance, testing and tuning of web-based GIS application using ArcIMS.
- Monitors and coordinates between the project's groups to apply ISO/TC211 geographic information - Metadata standardization rules.
- Creating technical and user documentation related to the system work, provides advance technical troubleshooting and solutions to the team members including training.

LGMS is a graduation project of the GIS post graduate diploma. LGMS (Local Government management system) is supervised by QSIT. It’s an enterprise government management system to implement the local government operations. It applied for NASR City District as pilot project. LGMS is a scalable system it can be applied for governorates level
Project Main Goals:
-Analyze the building permissions cycle and control it using GIS
-Manage the daily crises and dangerous more effective and faster. Decision maker gets the right decision in fast time.
-Build and design GIS web application as internet interface to the project and display its reports to public users.

HELWAN is one of Cairo governorate districts, which have special environmental characteristics (urban – deserts – mountains – agriculture). Supervised by Shoubra faculty of engineering - Surveying department.
