• Lead team member for Best Available Techniques (BAT) implementation at the
Paisley site following the EU directive
• Responsible person for permit variations to SEPA and controlling environmental compliance, ensuring BAT are used and accreditation of BAT maintained
• Managing all health, safety and compliance requirements across Central Scotland & North England sites and client locations for hazardous waste and industrial services. Immediately identifying and leading improvement projects to comply with DSEAR, SWR & CSR
• Lead author for confined space emergency arrangements and rescue drills
• Record and inform senior management of root cause trends, accurately identifying efective corrective actions and tracking completion
• Regular presentations and reporting to the CEO and board of directors
• Lead incident investigations for both site operations and industrial services
• Mentoring managers and supervisors dealing with safety-related issues; reporting, investigation layout, findings, and corrective action planning
• Identifying, testing and commissioning improved controls - flammable material storage earth connection with anti-static IBCs and humidity control
• Extensive management of change experience; process safety, HAZOP, LOPA, commissioning of plant and equipment etc.
• Ensuring the accident frequency rate (AFR) and Lost Time Injury (LTI) frequencies are constantly on a downward trend to avoid reportable accidents
