Reporting to the CEO and overseeing treasury, financial, fiscal, accounting and commercial matters of the group. Participate in setting/modifying the overall strategic plan of the group and provide the board of directors and shareholders with period updates on the status of the business.
Assess the financial performance of subsidiaries and the overall group and participate in setting short-term and long-term objectives/targets, and later evaluate the performance of each entity vis-a-vis the agreed upon plans and initiate corrective actions as & when needed.
Created policies and procedures enhanced the overall commercial awareness as well as financial consciousness within the group.
Lead and coach the team under my direct supervision and shortlist candidates where/when needed to ensure availability of the right staff for each critical function. Provide feedback on the recruitment process & provide new employees with proper onboarding & on-the-job training.
Was successful in raising funding/ financing for the projects on hand as well as for the new ventures. Overview of the group overall cash flow and manage the relationship & exposure with financiers/investors.
Responsible for periodic closing of accounts, issuing management reporting and liaising with the external auditors and third parties for the necessary statutory and timely reporting.
Participated in establishing several SPV’s as part of the vertically and horizontally growth of the group while maintaining proper control, monitoring & performance management & reward systems for each entity.

Heading three units, namely: Finance & Treasury, Cost Control and Management reporting unit.
Main duties & responsibilities could be summarized as follows:
•Finance & Treasury Unit
-Managing & supervising all day-to-day Treasury & Finance functions including cash management, payments, LC/LG...etc.
-Liaise with more than 12 banks (local and International) for arranging financing required for the projects and for due monitoring and managing of the total exposure of the company toward banks.

•Project Cost Control Unit:
-Preparation of Budgets for new projects in coordination with the project tea and commercial department.
-Preparation of monthly cost control reports and providing ad-hoc report for the project management as well as for the COO.
-Preparation of Projects Executive reports for the management / Board.
-Preparing CPI analysis reports where areas of improvements are highlighted and suggesting ways to overcome the same.

•Costing & MIS Unit:
-Managing the cost of all cost centers / profit centers as well as intercompany and related parties account.
-Preparation of Master Corporate Budget for UAE units.
-Providing Cost variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget), Trend and cost forecast.
-Provide input for the quarterly /yearly financial reports / board meetings.
-Special reports (such as: feasibility studies, Financial modeling, ..)

Reporting to the Group finance manager & handling all Accounting, Job costing, Budgeting & cost control, cash flow management and other related functions.
I was also the project manager responsible for the customization/enhancement & implementation of the ERP package for the company.
Main duties & responsibilities could be summarized as follows:
• Day-to-day Accounting :
Managing & supervising all day-to-day accounting functions up to finalization of balance sheet and income statement.

• Team Management :
Managing a team of 15 employees (Chief Accountant, Sr. Accountants, Accountants as well as business systems analyst & programmers)

• Budget Preparation, Monitoring & Variance analysis:
- Preparation of Master Budget (including : Sales Budget, Operation Budget, CAPEX, corporate/departmental Budgets)
- Preparation of Projects Execution Budgets (pre-award & post award) for awarded projects.
- Monitoring: Providing Cost variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget), Trend and cost forecast.
• Cost control:
Liaise with the cost control department for the issuance of consolidated cost control reports on monthly basis.

• Cash management:
Preparing cash flow forecast (yearly & 3 months look ahead) for the company and recommend / implement budget plans for adequate control over cash.

• Reporting & MIS:
- Preparing duly financial reports (monthly, Quarterly & Annually)
- Special reports (such as: feasibility studies, Financial modeling, ..)
- Projects Monthly Financial Report (which includes : Monthly Gross profit analysis, Profit & loss report, Balance sheet, payables & Receivables status & monthly executive financial summary report)
- Preparing presentations to Top management on the company financial status, CPI analysis and projects profitability and highlighting the drawback areas and suggest ways to overcome the same.

Handling cost control duties for onshore/offshore projects; Main duties & responsibilities could be summarized as follows:
• Preparing a Detailed Budget for major projects in coordination with Estimation and Accounts departments.
• Daily monitoring of project expenditures/resources during execution, indicating variances against approved Budget if any, and suggesting strategies to prevent/contain them.
• Highlighting Major expected variances, and issuing “Exception Reports” to concerned parties in order to justify deviations and ways to contain them.
• Producing duly "Cost Control Report", which reflects the current project financial status, as well as the projection of the same at project completion.
• Providing miscellaneous reports/studies to Management necessary for taking decisions having cost impact on the project
• Monitoring proper cost coding and cost allocation and requesting for reallocation when required.
• Reviewing major invoices, Service orders and Purchase orders, and ensure that they are inline with the approved contract/Budget.
• Evaluating Variation Orders before approving them, and monitoring the same during execution.
• Providing input / feed back to Estimation and Accounts department for reassessing the adopted estimation rates.
• Assisted in providing input for revising NPCC Project chart of accounts in order to have a well designed structure for accurate reporting & control.
• Assisted in designing/ testing & enhancing "in-house" designed Software(s).
