• Attained several courses in Air and Ocean Freights.
• Maintain and grow a book of business (e.g., ground, air, international, freight)
• Submit pricing requests and analyze price quotes.
• Contact with Steam Shipping lines and Air lines to bring best rates to satisfy customer needs.
• Apply supply chain and logistics knowledge of the flow of materials, information, and finances involved in manufacturing and distributing products.
• Apply knowledge of core business and of freight structure and operations to resolve problems, make decisions and achieve business objectives.
• Develop and maintain cross functional business relationships within the UPS business units.
• Participate in joint sales calls with sales counterparts from other UPS business units.
• Create and develop strategies and plans for effectively managing accounts.
• Negotiate with others by identifying desired outcomes, organizational priorities, and appropriate strategies and concessions.
• Apply financial expertise by analyzing and evaluating financial data, patterns and trends to determine the financial impact of a decision on the customer and the company.
• Introduce new products and services and expand business opportunities within customer accounts.
• Compile and generate monthly sales and activity reports to track sales performance to objectives.
• Monitor account statistics and respond to internal sales leads to identify opportunities and create sales strategies.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), generate standard and customized reports and queries, access appropriate databases, and interpret and clarify data.
• Work with the human resource manager and arrange for interviews, conduct interviews of eligible candidates, and recruit efficient sales workforce.
• Conduct training sessions for the newly recruited sales executives.
• Travel places, discuss with such clients, and attract more business.
• Set the annual sales plan and budget.
• Maintain a good teamwork spirit in the sales team & motivate the team to give their best and be true resources for the company.
• Responsible for ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Conduct sales calls and visits.
• Develop strong customer relationships through regular visits or timely response to their queries.
• Any other duties as and when assigned by the superior.
