• Assume command and perform the functions of the Deputy Director of Public Safety for NYUAD.
• Provide direct supervision of supervisory staff responsible for Public Safety operations, crime prevention, ID card services, security technology and parking/transportation.
• Plan, develop and implement systems and procedures to maintain and improve the overall safety and security of the University campus community and assets.
• Create and maintain strong relations with individual department and senior leadership within the campus.
• Create relationships and serve as a liaison with local governmental agencies including law enforcement and other emergency first responders.
• Develop in consultation with NYU New York, security patrol procedures, policies and protocols designed to provide maximum security coverage for th• Develop in consultation with NYU New York emergency protocol to timely response to all-hazard emergencies.
• Manage the human resources for the Public Safety Abu Dhabi to include interviewing prospective candidates (proprietary or outsources) for security positions and background checks;
• Assist with the annual development and maintenance of the budget for the department.
• Manage employee relations issues, grievance procedures and progressive disciplinary matters.
• Supervise the payroll process for the department, including the accuracy of time sheets and their approval.

- Director of security for 720 associates, 371 guest rooms, 15 floors, 21 meeting rooms 3 banquet halls with capacity 4000 persons, 6 restaurants, 2 bars and recreation centre.
