Responsible for the safe operations of RFFS operational firefighting vehicles.
Required to take immediate direction from the vehicle crew commander during operational emergencies and practice simulations; and to provide rapid safe response for firefighting crews to the emergency scene; and to ensure immediate delivery of media operations during emergency operations.
Ensure vehicle firefighting media levels are maintained at all times.
Ensure all vehicle inventory checks are completed at commencement of duty or vehicle change over, with immediate reporting of all discrepancies to the vehicle crew commander.
Conduct full daily maintenance checks of firefighting vehicles ensuring operational serviceability.
Ensure all vehicle discrepancies are reported to vehicle crew commander immediately, with all findings recorded in accordance with RFFS/GSE policy.
Participate in fire service drills and simulation exercises to ensure skills are enhanced and refreshed.
Maintain personal fitness and complete Firefighter medical in accordance GCAA Car Part XI.
Participate in fire and rescue duties, follow instructions from the duty watch and crew commander to ensure effectiveness of the operations, and minimize damage to life and property.
Help maintain, test, inspect and repair fire service appliances and associated equipment.
Attending IFSTA courses and trainings regarding NFPA standards certified by Chief Fire Officer.
Conducts Fire Safety inspection of all building structures, system and facilities within the airport complex and make a report of the deficiencies noted/reported and subsequently corrected.
Conducts safety inspection of all maintenance projects (contractors/sub-contractors) approved by the management; inspection includes enforcing strict compliance of each contractors/sub-contractors to the safety standards issued by the management (hot works permit).
Conducts fire code compliance follow-ups to ensure that corrective actions have been taken in cases violations were found.
Makes recommendation based on the Post Inspection Report for the corrective action and implementation of PD 1185, Fire Code of the Philippines and Regulation.
Conducts the regular checking and testing of all fire alarm and detection system and the periodic inspection of all fire extinguishers installed.
Arrange for the replacement of defective firefighting equipment and for repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Making minor repairs such as servicing fire extinguishers when feasible.
Conducts fire exit inspection in all airport facilities.
Prepares and submits Fire Safety inspection reports.
Monitors Fire Alarm and Detection System(FDAS) for fire alarm and/or system trouble 24 hours a day.
Coordinates with concerned offices regarding status of FDAS.
Attends training classes to maintain current knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and firefighting procedures.
Conducts fire exit drills to monitor and evaluate evacuation procedures.
Performs initial Fire suppression.
Demonstrate how to carry out various exercises and routines.
•Watch clients do exercises and show or tell them correct techniques to minimize injury and improve fitness.
•Give alternative exercises during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skill.
•Monitor clients’ progress and adapt programs as needed.
•Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations on sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment.
•Give clients information or resources about nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues.
•Give emergency first aid if needed.
